Personally, I find the singed mane part to make the story seem a tad off, but I can accept one moment of unprecedented strangeness.
I liked the story. Celestia's back story was a tad strange, but nothing I can't accept as possible. Cadence and Celestia both felt in character. Over all, I look forward to more.

Celestia reminds me of that one skunk...I think he name was Pepe...that was always trying to f***k/rape the cat in those Loony Tunes cartoons.
Eventually he's gonna give up and while they are both immortal that could take hundreds of years. The only ones that'll still be alive to witness this are Luna and Spike.
