Before I read this chapter I just gotta say; It really shouldn't bother me this much that the word count is 5,999 but it does So close to 6,000 on the dot
Not trying to get you to change anything about this chapter, but my eye always wanders to little things like that
Fareed and Tasid need to die. simple as that.
i've gotten to the point where i expect them to commit such evils, negating the shock from reading of their actions. instead i count down the days till they die.
painless or painful.
drawn out or short.
all that matters is that they cease to be.
i know that their removal will leave a power vacuum, but their deaths will leave a message: your power is irrelevant, all are equal to the reaper.
Farred and Tasid have many enemies, its only a matter of time.
9466299
Okay. 6000 on the dot via adding one word at the start.
9466388
Considering what goes on to this day they are both rather mild, dont worry though! There shall be many more chapters dedicated to both of them. However, it will not be over so soon and neither shall it be easy. One does not rule for as long as Fareed has without knowing what one is doing and the reaper will have to earn these souls the hard way.
Wow. These two are a piece of work. Verik's got his work cut out for him.
*Fondly looks into the distance whilst remembering Soviet soldiers marching though Berlin*
Ah, yes...
*Hears screaming of fascist dieing in the background*
Truly those were the good days...
God damn
9466461
just as long as they don't get the villains equivalent of plot armour then im fine with that.
too be fair if verik didn't bring them down, the country would collapse in a little less then a decade given the description, fareeds already pushed his resources and the land too far to maintain his kingdom, he'd attempt to spread outward and find his power crushed by either a opportunistic leader, or all his enemies allied against him.
Cold Arelak, very cold 😟. Plus this Tasid is our first target, and Luny right?
Here's hoping verik will build an army, make gunpowder or some sort of better weapons and pull a british vs zulu on the whole continent
9467127
i-uny, I and I both look the same on here unfortunately.
9466758
Maybe, but we have seen dictators do far worse and still hold onto power for many, many decades. Communism (socialism) is a grand point that you can utterly wreck a nation and yet still keep the bloated corpse going for some time. Same can be said of rabid, foaming at the mouth capitalism, gut the people and make them wage slaves, rape the economy and still the beast keeps chugging right along. Rome was the oldest example on the books however, a very, very dead duck covered in writhing maggot swarms and yet they hung around for a very long time. The real lesson is that so long as you can pay the soldiers and mercenaries you are pretty much going to stay in power as damned few have the balls to take up arms and kill their way into power.
9466715
No, I like realism. For ALL sides!
9467623
I can tell you right now that Verik has not a clue as to making gunpowder, also any attempt to do so would require industry on a massive scale that does not exist. Not to mention high quality steel, foundries, highly trained gun-smiths, engineers, tool and die makers, etc.
9466711
Glad you like it!

thing is he's rapidly depleting the countries stock of farmers, pushing trade to a nigh impossibility outside of his country and pushing all possible allies into enemy territory. it's only a matter of time before the country stops producing enough food to feed everyone.
and when they hit that moment of weakness, you can bet every nation around them is going to strike for the jugular, he may have a mercenary army, but i doubt it's bigger then all armies put together. no matter what way you look at the situation his rule isn't sustainable, he might make it to his death if he's extremely lucky, but his heir might not even make it to the throne after him.
9467780
That's fair enough.
Not what I'm talking about Arelak. I asking is that really apart of the plan to hit fareed where it hurts?
Excellent job, giving us ample reason to want these 2 things that think they are zebra to die a horrible death
9468282
Never stopped dictators from going forward with their plans anyway, Mao stayed in power despite mass genocide along with Lenin and Stalin, both of whom utterly exterminated the farmers. Also, perhaps now you understand why Fareed makes flashy shows of power and invites all the foreign dignitaries to his palace in order to show off. His part of this chapter actually addressed your concern and the quote at the top summarizes how he stays in power: Fear. So long as the nations around him are terrified or castrated through his domination of trade he stays in power, also none are swarming him either which means he can pick and choose his battles. There are many ways to stay in power despite the world being on fire around you and wanting your head, North Korea being a grand example.

Eh?

You should read the Maleus Malificarum if you want a fun time reading Christian law.

True, but do not forget that the bread we eat today is ALIEN compared to what Verik is eating! Today everything is genetically modified or carefully hybridized for maximum gluten and then pulped, sifted and bleached. All nutrition is REMOVED from modern wheat to the point they have to pump vitamin powder into the mix because it has all the nutritional value of cardboard and the cardboard is still healthier! People hiss and spit at bread today without realizing that the bread eaten just 350 years ago (to say nothing of 2000 years ago) was incredibly bountiful in both vitamins and minerals. Today its styrofoam that's been baked and pumped full of air. People today have lost all perspective of what food used to be before the scientists and corporations dipped their hands into the food supply in the name of profit and "perfection."
9467780
Aww,my colonizing fetish got crushed
9469445
Well I can stoke it again because one of my future stories that I have rolling around in my head fully involves the use of gunpowder and 1600's firearms on a large scale. However, I have another story to write before that one.
9469417
yes it's just fear is a rather impotent control mechanism, it doesn't last forever and usually it crashes hard, i'm not trying to start an argument i'm just stating an observation based on the past. you compare fareed to stallin but in actuality the situations not the same, stallin had the advantage of a world war to help his cause. other nations where distracted with Hitler and the Nazi's and then recovering after there defeat.
the comparison to Lenin is at best questionable as rule through fear is against what the man believed in before his death.
9470233
You spelled it Luny.
9470113
It is not what someone says but what someone does, Lenin spouted off much but fear was the first tool out of his box via the CheKa. Every dictator in the world will tell you exactly what you want to hear "I am against fear, I shall restore X" but its what they actually do which makes the difference.
9470113
I encourage you to read the mighty tomes of Alexander Solzhenitsyn if you want to read the truth about what Lenin was really doing along with those who followed. "The Gulag Archipelago" series is a masterpiece that pulls the system apart one piece at a time showing how Lenin openly used terror to get his way. This man lived through it, survived the glories of socialism and was even thrown into the gulag to die, survived, fled and then told the world.
9470973
he still never intended the monster that stallin became
9471423
Well, no matter what you believe politically there is a simple truth we must all accept: "The road to hell is paved with good intentions."
9473618
Use a PM for something like that not here as this be for questions or comments on the only the story.

Seeing the perspective of others always makes this story interesting by the chapter

I would prefer to douse Fareed in 1500° molten gold until he becomes nothing but a melted and unrecognizable golden slag on the floor because it fits his greedy nature.
As for Tasid, and here's hoping he doesn't know how to swim, there should be a 30-feet pool filled with his own cum, and blood and bones of all the slaves he tortured, raped and killed. Afterwards, he should be chained to a megaton ball and dropped to the very bottom of said pool and just fucking drown, fitting for his lust and gluttony.
That would also be the Hell that will await their damned souls. Every Circle Of Hell have a "specific" place for people with "specific" needs. The deepest and extreme coldest circle, the Ninth Circle, is where the most evil of souls are held.
Fuck this little shit I can't wait to read he dies.
