Nuru seems to think if everything is kept as it is it will all be fine, but she needs to learn that this is one of those times the table needs to be flipped over
Well the only problem now is the crop production, and the spy. Fareed not care about 40 zebras training gives you a limited time before something comes up.

My impression was rather that she knows exactly what is on the line. Much better then our protagonist. And she tries her best to get him to actually think about things besides the tactics involved.

We both know that she won't be allowed to see everything, such things always seem to keep the near future veiled to the user.

Maybe, or maybe not. Maybe there is ambiguity in this. Or she knows exactly what will happen and influences it in small ways to reach the best result. Or she can't influence the outcome at all, because the fate of the world has been written in stone. Or, or, or. But I still think that she knows more then you give her credit for, and that she realizes way more then the main character what actually is on the line. For everything he is doing it still feels a bit like he sees this all like a game. Sure there are consequences, but he seems detached for them. And while he certainly has a bunch of knowledge that makes him a real out of context problem for everyone that has to deal with him, the simple fact is that he is still rather lacking in knowledge about the land, like his conversation with Sefu demonstrated. And here he should not forget people will die because of his decisions. And he won't be able to hide behind it was for the best. He will have to examine his choices, because other certainly will.

True,. but if this methodology holds, her death could be incoming and she wouldnt be prepared for it either, it would be too sudden to be told in advance by the spirits
In Kindergarten Cop, this would probably be equivalent to the scene where Arnold freaks out on the kids and makes them cry.
Now that Verik has more or less been called out and put on notice by the camp’s witch/shaman hopefully things will be a little more uphill from this point on. The man might be a bit of a tank-brain when it comes to dealing with people, by I think he’ll be clever enough to find some way of getting g the kids to finally warm up to him.
On a side note, I’m really curious to see how Fareed will react to Verik’s presence when reports from his spies eventually reach him.
Something about this chapter brings a sense of peace for some reason, I guess not dealing with nothing serious going on in the rest of the world, the simpleness of this chapter is... well simple
