in short, Knights Templar.
Also, yes, Game of Thrones is shit. Yes, it has its moments, but then Martin looked at his watch and saw it was time to type one handed again

The game is still going, but she just need to try and improvise if she wishes to save Jaji.
What's wrong, my friend? Sounds like you're having a rough time.
Well it looks like the first link between Nawra and Verick is about to be established. This is what I love about these slow-burn type stories. When the different storylines start interesting, you, as a reader, really feel a sense of payoff.
Sorry things aren’t going so well for you, right now.

Knights Templar was more an economic war, they ruled the banking industry of the day and that royally pissed off the Pope who wanted all that power for himself. It is an interesting way of looking at it though because ultimately that is exactly what happened on Friday the 13th. Also, I think we found a game of thrones fan because someone down rated you. Neat little video, odd but neat and true. Tolkein's series was some of the first books I ever read as a kid.

they were amongst the finest warriors of their time, or any for that matter. 14th Century Templar in Celestia's court actually delves into a Templar and is fanfic I highly recommend if you're so inclined.
Tolkien is perhaps one of the most underrated authors of all time. Yes, I mean that with his popularity. He literally made his own language to put in his own world, albeit ones severely borrowed. Yes a lot of things were merely notes, but one must remember that this story was originally just a cute little tale for his nephews. He never imagined where it would take him.
Game of Thrones is a stupid story thinking its smart. Politically speaking its that one Naruto episode where one ninja stole a kid, got shanked for it, then the dudes tribe or whatever demanded his killers body, the one who killed him for killing the kidnapper, namely their boy. Mind you a lot of that worlds political power hinges on a bunch of in bred dragon shaggers, so who needs nuance of actual intrigue? George R.R Martin is a fair enough writer, but the emotional attachment people have to the series is bizarre.
Go read The Witcher series. It gives you all the dirty middle ages sex you could ever want and actual tries to make their characters likeable in a relatively well crafted world (as much as I like the witcher, I'll be the first to admit its no Tolkien in terms of world building. It seems its either bland New zealand based Shire clone or overly designed japanese claptrap in terms of fantasy. Golden Sun's done a pretty good job of balancing that, but no one played that one)

True indeed.
I am starting to worry, that this story is straying from its path a bit.
Introducing characters to a story with a strong focus on the protagonist/antagonist and their close companions, without them interacting with each other first makes the reader lose focus and often their interest in the plot.
They keep popping out of the blue, but for a long time, everything was shown from the perspective of the human and this change breaks the pacing, whenever you swap between Verik and something he has no way to know about.

My aim is to show how events beyond someones understanding or knowledge thereof can have an impact on events later on. This story does have "main characters" in a sense but it is also a "they are ALL main characters" in their own respective areas. You are watching not just one individual fighting their way out of a hole but several who shall all at some point either sooner or later wind up butting heads or working together. This is a type of writing I wanted to try as it shows the reader in detail how everyone develops mentally, psychically and how events shaped outcomes. It makes for a very long story but as someone who likes to know how the "hows and whys" of events it helps blends everything together by displaying that what some might consider trivial and of no consequence today will get you skinned alive down the line. That or the sheer terror inspire someone to reckless heights of "bravery" in order to avoid repeating a certain event thus changing the political dynamic again, perhaps that assassin will cause political ramifications across a continent without anyone knowing it... I show these things.
Very few stores I have read have the same amount of character development and world building. You have done a fantastic job of creating likable characters with realistic ideals and motives. When I first read this story I was expecting some sort of grand adventure; instead I have stumbled into a political intrigue story. There are very few stories I have read that have put so much effort into these "secondary characters" and I feel it adds life to the world. I'm not sure how you are planning on inter weaving all these characters together but I'm sure you will do a fantastic job.

Thank you, and while you are correct about the political aspect of the story there is adventure yet to come. The story encompasses all of these aspects because I wanted it to be more "real" and have a greater depth to characters and events rather than follow traditional writing which is quite shallow in showing how events unfold.
