I don't care for clopfics, but this could make a great non-clopfic, detailing other ponies' reactions to this idea, especially the Mane Six, Celestia and Cadance. It would also be fun to see things from Chrysalis and the Changeling's POV, without getting into the details.
I am certainly going to read this, but one thing bothered me. Chairs made of chitin?

Chitin is the primary substance in certain types of flies' wings and the cell walls of mushrooms. Not something you'd make a chair out of.

4392717 I was thinking less about how the chitin would be obtained, and more about the solidity of it. Flies' wings are fragile. You can break mushrooms' cell walls with your bare hands. If a creature the size of a pony sits in a chair made of chitin, that chair will collapse, almost definitevely. Although, next chapter you could make someone try to sit in one and have that happen for the LOL, if you so desire.

4393926 Even though it's true that pure chitin would probably not hold a pony, most of the chitin compounds found in exoskeletons (presumably what is being used here) are infused with sclerotin making it a very strong protein structure. This type of chitin would most definitely hold a pony, considering you were able to fuse enough of it together somehow.
