Razalon The Lizardman

E

A priceless artifact, once possessed by an ancient tribe's chief for purposes unknown, located in what's considered some of the world's harshest terrain, rumored to possess a dark magic with special properties. It goes without saying that Daring Do will cross Death's playground to retrieve it, and it also goes without saying that A.K. Yearling will write about the adventure in a book, even while struggling to make sense of some new found feelings for the adventurer.

You changed the title! :O I'm surprise!

Daring: "This situation went out of control. Now narrator, please come out and help me."

Whoa, this is a really neat idea.

"Instead, A.K. typed away at the typewriter they had possessed, using it to record every single aspect of Daring Do’s adventure in a novel format, like they’d done for all of her adventures. "

One day, Daring tapped her chin thoughtfully and asked the Ghost Typewriter, "Sayyyy, you seem to end up in plural an awful lot. Who are you really?"

Inky black blackness poured from the possessed object as a ghastly multitude intoned in a diabolical choir from within, "OUR NAME IS LEGION, FOR WE ARE MANY!!"

Then Pony Jesus (Twilight Sparkle) showed up and exorcized them all. The power of Faust compells you!

Neat story, and a fascinating premise.

Instead, A.K. typed away at the typewriter they had possessed, using it to record every single aspect of Daring Do’s adventure in a novel format, like they’d done for all of her adventures. The near-constant clicking of the typewriter’s keys behind her had been a source of irritation for Daring in the past

I now have this barmy picture in my head of A. K. Yearling as Sir Robin's Minstrel from Quest For the Holy Grail:

I don't recall at this point; you'd have to ask Razalon.

5516359 I tentatively named it "The Secret of A.K. Yearling" before switching to the current title.

I wish this story would provide more explanation on this whole ghost thing. As it is now, there's plenty enough content here to make it work, but the fact of how the story just drops us in detracts from it a bit. This is especially noticeable because the idea conflicts with the shows canon (you should add an AU tag).

I'd love to see this expanded upon. You have two good characters to explore, and a concept which needs more exposition. A continuation would be wonderful if you want to do one.

Dragonlover553 is confused. Dragonlover553 would like further information. Dragonlover553 is angered as a fantasy nerd and fan of the Indiana Jones Series. He has long enjoyed the fact that artifacts in Indiana Jones are both powerful and incomprehensible to the ordinary person. It makes them more fun. Dragonlover553's anger is piqued by the request of "reverse engineering" of ancient witchcraft. Dragonlover553 wants to know why A.K. Yearling must hide her identity. Dragonlover553 is mad, he has lost the ability to organize and sleek in the first person.
