Razalon The Lizardman

E

Discord visits Sugarcube Corner with the intention of purchasing breakfast. When asked why he doesn't just conjure some up with his magic, what results is a profound conversation on the subjects of baking, chaos, and even Discord's social standing.

I like this. Another Please?

Discord is way to calm for my taste in this story. I mean, Discord can be nice while being spontaneous and snarky; but here he's normal for at least 90% of the time. Besides this, everything about the story was fine. :pinkiehappy: I would love to see more things like this!

What an absolutely enjoyable, contemplative, and comedic examination of the Spirit of Chaos and the nature of making something with love versus magic. I found this exceedingly refreshing and would most certainly enjoy reading more philosophical discussions involving Discord and the other ponies of Equestria. Keep up the great work. 9.5/10 .

(...) but Cup Cake knew the draconequus had no reason to put her life in jeopardy.

Whoa, she knows what the Lord of Chaos would do? Couldn't Discord just want to mess with her for the heck of it?

Oh well. This is actually great and I liked it quite a bit. Keep up the good work.

Heh, awesome.

I love the cover photo. Discord reminds me of Homer Simpson in here.

Rainbow racing track? go-kart? Mario Kart reference?

I definitely enjoyed that. The Mario-Kart reference just clinched it.

A fine read, my good reptilian.

My only nitpick is that Cup Cake never called him "dearie". :raritywink:

This is excellent, in that it is both lighthearted and contemplative, a surprisingly difficult combination. A perfect story to go with my breakfast.

I like the pic. It's like Discord is going "But is it art?"

wonderful ^^

Now, this I have to read.

... now I want Ponykart for the Neightendo DS

discord's sentiment makes sense to me
a wonderful fiction all in all

That was nice. No two bakers are exactly alike.

Tldr: The secret ingredient is LOVE.
As a chef, I approve!

Well, the lizard man has done it again! A good story, I really enjoyed it. I admire that you can take such a simple scenario and turn it into a philosophical study of baking and magic.

I had this in my read later list for too long. I really liked this! It's nice to see just a slice of life kind of thing after reading a whole lot of adventure fics. Nothing wrong with adventure fics, but I needed to slow down with a fic just like this, and you fit my needs. Excellent story. I look forwards to more.

I am pleased to find that I enjoyed this story more than I thought I would, and I expected to enjoy it. I really like Discord as a calmer character sometimes, and you write calmed Discord very well.

That was nice. A good and proper Slice of Life story, with just a hint of random silliness.

could I do a reading on this on my youtube?

5025888 By all means, go right ahead. :pinkiehappy: Send me a link when you've got it up, please.

it will be a while for it to be made
I got some voice actors to play Discord and Mrs Cake
NLDMongoose and some one thats in one of my classes

Characters were way out of character. Didn't like it, sorry. :applecry:

A lovely read, thank you.

~Dollars.

Cute, but Discord seemed a bit out of character.

It makes a certain kind of sense that simply making food for himself could get boring. After all, Discord could very well know everything about what he makes when he makes it. He might magically bake the food he makes, but he's essentially creating food/ingredients out of nothing. He might very well know what his own creations are like down to their very atoms.
Buying something from someone else opens him up to new possibilities. He takes a chance, and a taking a chance is practically a small step towards chaos if you think about it...
