The Weirdest Job Yet

Everything in Sunset's life is great. Everyone's forgiven her, and school is going really well. But when gangs, triads, mercenaries, and the government attack CHS, Sunset isn't sure she and her friends can handle them.

Fortunately, some strange allies soon reveal themselves.

What if Rainbow Dash was born a griffon, and Twilight an alicorn princess? A seemingly small change to two, but with significant ramifications.
Twilight lost her crown over her response to an incident involving griffons' predatory nature, but now she'll have to trust one of them, on top of braving an Everfree full of creatures even more happy to eat ponies, to defeat Nightmare Moon...and it won't be quite the picnic it was in the show.

Expect content akin to No Second Prances (depressed Trixie Manticore mouth dive episode), i.e. somewhat heavy drama/topics and ponies being gobbled up.

I can't give you a longer description of what this story is about without kind of spoiling it.

It's a bit metaphysical, metaphorical, metaweirdical, and I banged it out in one evening while too tired. But it's short, so even if you hate it you won't be wasting too much of your time by reading it. (Yeah, way to sell it Hazel!)

Princess Luna is frustrated from no pony ever seeing who she is.
How they dance and enjoy themselves without a single word of kindness to her.
But, out of nowhere, a stallion comes to her in an unexpected time.

Due to it coming out after I started writing this, Rainbow Rocks both did and didn't happen. Only Equestria Girls 1 is canon to this story. Meaning that there may be references to Rainbow Rockz but it will never be acknowledged as having actually happened.

Twilight sparkle is your average girl. Except she's a genius. So to start off her senior year in high school she's transferred to the most prestigious [non-private] school in town: Cantalot High.
It's not really a big deal. She wasn't really that close with any of her friends from her old school and never really hung out that much anyway. She'll make one or two new friends here but really she'll just blend in and be another new student at the start of the year. Nothing more, nothing less... right?
Nope.
Turns out last year there was another girl who looked exactly like her and had the same name came to this school for only three days, got the entire school to vote for her as prom-queen, turned into an angel, fought a demon and then danced with the hottest guy in the school, all before returning to her home planet.
So that 'nothing more, nothing less' plan's kinda gone out the window.

The first chapter or two are a little bit dark but that’s pushed aside pretty quickly. Mostly at least, I mean the story needs some conflict after all. By chapter 3 and the whole fitting in ascept over takes it.
Originally planned to be four chapters long it was perfectly on track with that for the first three chapters. Then by that point I had gotten to many future ideas to stop.
So prepare yourself for seemingly random [though ALL of it is thoroughly planned out] encounters and my own stupid head-canon as Twilight meets the mane 6 of whom which Summer Sunset is one, her other self's former love interest Flash 'Brad' Sentry, Great and Powerful background humans including Applejack, teacher's each with their own crazy zainy quirts, Spike the 200 pound muscle-bound pitbull of absolute adorableness and whatever the CMC are called in this universe... let's call them the KND.
And of course tons of shipping jokes but there's no actual shipping in it. That last part may or may not be true.
Also that's just the way I spell Cantalot and I know it's technically wrong.

I started writing this in late October, before S4 so blame any canon errors on that and/or not caring under the guise of 'alternate universe!'.

After what feels like months or even years, Mayor Mare, Raven, Apple Bloom, and Spike are back in Ponyville, hopefully for good. This is the story of a well-earned but failed denouement, for the world is not content to allow Ponyville's mayor to drink in peace. Not yet.

When a strange, sudden illness afflicts Celestia, threatening to plunge the world into eternal darkness, it's up to Twilight Sparkle to save the Princess and the world.

And failure won't happen on Twilight Sparkle's watch, because for her, it's daylight saving time.

High school life with amazing friends is a great time, but it eventually ends. These seven friends forged a tight bond in that time, so how does it sustain itself when everyone goes their own way to fulfill their dreams. Rainbow Dash isn't willing to accept that reality. At least, she hopes not.

Everything is perfectly fine at the school of friendship, that is until a strange virus breaks out. The entire school is put in quarantine, and no one is allowed in or out. The virus infects all the ponies in the school, but luckily Mage Meadow had come along to help, along with a certain zebra. Hopefully, the two can find a cure in time.
