Things aren't going well for Princess Twilight Sparkle. Everywhere she goes, ponies are treating her with reverence like she was Princess Celestia. Even her closest friends are starting to act the same way! And now with Twilight Masquerade Ball being hosted in her honor for defeating the dreaded Tirek, it looks like it's only going to get worse.

Takes place between Twilight's Kingdom and The Cutiemap.

Since Princess Twilight Sparkle had elevated herself to the status of an immortal alicorn, she has come to realize that there would be one part of her friend's lives that they may never get the chance of having - her funeral. To make up for this, she decides to host a mock funeral so they can have the opportunity to experience it. However, word about the preparation for said funeral accidently gets out and as a result, Equestria believes that Twilight has died.

Armed with a mysterious black book and with the help of her friends, Twilight is forced into a terrifying adventure of uncovering secrets and finding a way out of her nightmare. But the problem is that nopony knows what a Draconequus really is.
