When the past rears its head and ancient enemy arises, Princess Celestia must send her most faithful student, Twilight Sparkle, to a long and dangerous journey. Together with her friends, Twilight Sparkle must travel to the forgotten lands beyond Equestria’s borders, in order to save her homeland.

One thousand years full of schemes, tragedies and betrayals are unraveled as six ponies dive into the history of Equestria and their whole world, determined to defeat the shadow of the past.

In the Hereafter, the many realms of dream are in constant disarray. So much so that a human's dying dream could easily catch the attention of the Lady of The Night. Unfortunately.

All the best parts of chapter one was by Gaudior who is a pretty great guy (check him out) but I'm a bandit trying to drop some merchandise before it goes bad.

Introduction: The following Journal entries belong to James Tinwool of the 24th Royal Infantry, who disappeared the day before the Battle of the Somme in 1916. The journal was discovered months after the battle, but James himself was never found during the war. The dates in the journal correspond to before, during and after the battle, however, the journal states that he was nowhere near the battlefield. Some scholars believe that the dates between June 30th to September 5th is pure fantasy that he wrote to cope with his shell shock. James Tinwool himself, who was found years after he reappeared back in England, up to his death in 1948 always made the statement: “Everything that I've written in that journal is true. All of it.” We leave this up to the reader as well as the listener to judge on the authenticity of this story.

My name was Sparkler. I was a pony with dreams and goals and ambitions. What am I now? A pebble rattles at the other end of the alley and my head jerks upright. Nothing visible. But then they never are, are they? Not until it’s too late.

This was written as part of the third Quills and Sofas Extended Universe contest, wherein we write sequels to each others stories. This is technically a sequel to a story titled The Hunt by Otter, but it's unpublished and honestly you don't need to read the prequel to enjoy this story. It's also something of a spiritual sequel or AU to this old story of mine, My Little Sister. It's definitely not the path I'd want Sparkler and Dinky's lives to take, but this is definitely my versions of those characters in a dark AU.

Meadowbrook has returned, aided by three of the most dangerous benders the nations have ever known. However, Diamond has a few new friends on her side, the comrades of her past life. Together, can they hope to stop this mare before things get fully out of hoof? Especially with one of her strongest enemies slowly gathering power and awaiting her moment to strike?

Starlight Glimmer, a troubled pony who was reformed and now seems to live a happy life with Twilight as her teacher and friend. Her life seems to be perfect, but what's going on inside her mind? With ponies not giving her a chance and still changing the details from her past to make it worse, the ponies start to get to Starlight and soon awful thoughts start to plague her mind.
