Shaslan

I make both fanart and fanfic. I draw all my cover images myself, and I take art and writing commissions!

My name was Sparkler. I was a pony with dreams and goals and ambitions. What am I now? A pebble rattles at the other end of the alley and my head jerks upright. Nothing visible. But then they never are, are they? Not until it’s too late.

This was written as part of the third Quills and Sofas Extended Universe contest, wherein we write sequels to each others stories. This is technically a sequel to a story titled The Hunt by Otter, but it's unpublished and honestly you don't need to read the prequel to enjoy this story. It's also something of a spiritual sequel or AU to this old story of mine, My Little Sister. It's definitely not the path I'd want Sparkler and Dinky's lives to take, but this is definitely my versions of those characters in a dark AU.

A good Story and nice to see dinky's okay.

This scenario looks similar to me, but i cant remember from where...

Did I slam the like and favorite buttons as soon as I saw that this had been posted? Yes, yes I did.

Seriously, though, this is still one of my absolute favorites of the EU fics, and it's great to see it being shared with a broader audience now! I'm usually not much of one for survival horror setups but you do such a great job with Sparkler and the themes that I couldn't tear myself away, and I was so, so glad to see her decide to take a chance on freedom even though it terrified her almost worse than staying.

all you have to do is just fly in there and rescue them? how did no one think of that before lol

Do you remember me
When the rain gathers?
And do you still believe
That nothing else matters?

For me
It's still the autumn leaves
These ancient canopies
That we used to lay beneath

No, by now
The night belongs to you
This bough has broken through
I must be someone new

Euclid – Sleep Token

This is an amazing story. I can hardly wait to see more of this world, but if this is a one shot I am happy with it nonetheless.

Dam good story tho can I ask.

Who was the aunt who tricked her into taking there place ?

This was a dark story. Liked it quite a much, being there 11 years must have done a number on Sparkler.

Wow! Amazing story. Atmospheric and dark, but with a welcome pinch of comfort. I loved every word!

Sorrowful, haunting and dark. Nicely done.
