All he knew was his globe. He was left inside of it as punishment for his devious crimes, but that was hundreds of years ago. Still, he sits inside his spherical home, his mind slowly degrading as each day passes.

He can't even remember what he did wrong in the first place.

The scary thing is, neither can the alicorn who put him there.

I am Breaking Scoop, news editor for CNN (Canterlot News Network). Recently, I was afforded the great opportunity to interview Twilight Sparkle and her friends about their views on politics.
This group of national heroes has saved Equestria no less than half a dozen times, and includes not only a full-fledged Princess, but also the Hero of the Crystal Empire, a Wonderbolt, and arguably Equestria's most famous designer. Naturally, I was thrilled to have the chance to hear about their well-reasoned views on the issues that impact ponies' everyday lives.
Boy, was I surprised at what I found! These are their philosophies.

This is a sort of semi-dark satire about political roles. What would they look like in Equestria (there are a lot of political themes present in the show)!? Sure to be a treat for political junkies!

Stuck in an elevator while the rest of their friends deal with the danger of the day, Rarity and Twilight discuss their romantic relationship.

All mothers love their children, and all mothers feed their children. Princess Chrysalis and her mother are no different, except that to a changeling, "love" and "food" are the same thing.

Well... mostly.

This was the "Usurper Chrysalis" story in FOME's Imposing Sovereigns Contest.

As Twilight predicted, Sunset Shimmer gave out a lot of apologies after the Fall Formal.

As Princess Celestia told Sunset long before --when she dismissed Sunset as her student-- apologies aren't always enough. Sometimes actions have consequences that can't be escaped with a simple: "I'm sorry."

Sunset remembers Celestia's words after a run in with fellow students --ones who weren't satisfied with mere apologies-- leaves her lying on the ground, in pain, in a Canterlot alley.

This wasn't originally intended to be a quiet thinking and reminiscing piece, it just sort of turned out like that. Ditto on it being both long enough and complete enough to be a legitimate one-shot.

As noted in various places, my depression has been . . . pretty much killing my ability to do anything remotely creative. So when something breaks through that it's very, very welcome. This was such a thing.

It's simple and short and exactly as straightforward as the above description implies.

Dealing with loss is never easy. 

Ponies can lose a lot of things - loved ones, pets, houses, jobs. For Twilight Sparkle, though, her biggest loss is a limb. 

Her right wing is gone. Lost in battle, Twilight struggles with her changed body, confusing feelings and a crushing lack of hope.

And in the midst of it all, she wonders if sheʼll ever truly recover.
