Wow, this is great. Love how grounded Rarity and Twilight's relationship is, despite the larger-than-life nature of the situation they're trapped in, and the larger-than-life stations they occupy. It's great to see a new author who is definitely not Monochromatic writing RariTwi, and opening up with such a strong first story. Looking forward to reading more, person who is obviously not Monochromatic.

One thing that I love in every raritwi story is that no matter what, Rarity always dances circles around Twilight. It's such a fund dynamic, and even here as their relationship is strained, she still does it and it's delightful.

Jesting aside, I love the Twilight turnabout at the end. Rarity needs her Twilight-time and she needs it five minutes ago, not realizing Twilight is NEVER late for scheduled events if she can help it.
