This story is a sequel to My Little Pony - The Legend of Friendship

After Twilight was summoned to take part in her very first Princess Summit in the Crystal Empire, her crown was stolen by two mysterious ponies who took it with them to another world.
In order to get the crown back, she and Star Twinkle decided to go to this other world in order to bring the crown back to Equestria. But soon they found themselves in completely different bodies and a world that they yet had to understand.

This story takes place after Season three of My Little Pony - The Legend of Friendship (After Chapter 65) and is a rewrite of the first Equestria Girls movie.
To put it short: The story of My Little Pony - The Legend of Friendship involves around a stallion added to the mane six and several other OC who were added to the original story of Friendship is Magic.
It is advised to read through Chapter 1 - 65 if you want to read this story in the original order.

Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle have been living together for two years away from Canterlot City for college. Instead of coming home for the break, Twilight elected to do a cram December mini-mester to stay on track for her first double majors.

Knowing her roommate and girlfriend well enough not to fight with her about such things like school, Sunset instead makes arrangements to have Twilight's family all fly out to visit them instead.

The Island of Sodor is in great danger once again. When magic from the railway disappears, it's up to Thomas and his Friends to locate where it's gone and restore peace to the Magic Railroad before chaos and confusion consumes the Island. This leads our hero to a world not at all like Sodor. It's a world filled with magic, new friends to meet, and a completely different appearance from that of his tank engine form! In order to return things back to normal before the magic is lost forever, they must search for the missing source in a place called Canterlot High!

It's a story of helping others, defining what makes an engine, person, or pony good based on their past actions, and using the power of friendship to accomplish anything beyond capabilities.

While Twilight was in her bedroom at her house, she stumbled upon a strange vial of green liquid.
Then, she drinks the strange liquid and gets stressed over some past memories of Crystal Prep.
And she's mad that former principal of Crystal Prep, Abacus Cinch, is now the new dean. This makes Twilight so mad there will be some funny parts that she would love to do to get back at her. After all, Cinch did keep on forcing her to compete and spy on the Rainbooms, as well as unleashing the magic that turned her into Midnight Sparkle. But what is going on with her anger?

Despite the tags, Twilight is the 1st main character.

Join Sunset and the other Equestria Girls as they share some bonding of friendship and family with their little friend, Chase Tucker. Together, they will show him what true friendship means to him and let him share joy, love, tears, and the other traits of friendship.
