The mane six have defeated many villains, most recently having help from the Pillars of Equestria. Leading them to wonder, just why in the hell is Equestria so prone to disaster and mayhem? Why didn't the ponies of the past clean up their messes? And why in the bucking hell doesn't anyone ever just execute someone?

And most importantly, why do they even have princesses if a group of six young adults are going to have to handle everything?

This started as an experiment to try shorter chapters. I gave up on that later on.

It has been several months since the disappearance of Twilight Sparkle..

One night, after watching her sister raise the Moon and set the heavens alight, Princess Celestia begins to bed down for the night, only to be interrupted by portal forming in her room. From out of the portal comes none other than Twilight Sparkle, garbed in strange armor.

Princess Celestia, along with Luna, Cadence, and Shining Armor, are overjoyed by the Element of Magic's return, but are justifiably curious as to where she had been and what she had been doing. And so, Twilight begins her tale. A tale of survival against impossible odds. A tale of a people fighting for the most basic right of all sentient beings. The right to exist.

Princess Twilight Sparkle, the soon-to-be ruler of Equestria makes her way to the Capital to attened her coronation. Full of questions and doubts, sometimes the best way to clear them away is to have a nice trip down memory lane.

Will Wondercloud be eaten by a dragon? Will Fashionface and Johnniepear start and/or stop making out? What's bothering Sugar Rush? Will there be chocolate? Will the rating be kicked up to Teen? The answer to that last question, at least, is yes.

Midnight Twinkle Gets a Clue: Why is Midnight Twinkle such a butt? She's literally the smartest pony in Ponylandia, but she just doesn't get it. So can she and her bodyguard save Pony City from a rampaging Ursa when it shows up and she makes things worse? The answer is yes, but they won't be able to do it alone...

Whisperlite's Wonderful Day: All Whisperlite wants to do is have a lovely picnic with a dear friend. Will her less-than-dear (and deer) friends let her get away with that? The answer is probably 'no'.

A few months have passed since Princess Luna had a talk with her royal scribe, Astral Ink. Since then, the two had developed their friendship while maintaining efficient work in their royal duties. All was going well, until recently.
Astral finds himself in the dream of the alicorn herself as Luna initially attempts to aid in the scribe in another issue he's dealing with, while the stallion still struggles understand why the princess has so much care for him.
What follows is a series of revelations from both ponies that will forever change their relationship.
