This story was written for Nightmare Moon 2017 Summer Contest.

The two bearers of the Elements of Harmony have done a good job keeping their relationship hidden for a while, after discovering the feelings they mutually shared. Rainbow Dash couldn't be happier, and sometimes she can't believe how lucky she is to love and be loved by the breath-taking mare Applejack is, physically and emotionally. She is convinced the same goes for her lover, but one night she comes to terms with the upsetting truth, realizing how much her past can still influence her present.

This is the very first story I publish on FIMFiction, so I probably messed up with tags and genres - forgive my inexperience, and please tell me how to correct the mistakes I might have made... Anyway, I hope you enjoy this first completed arc of mine dedicated to my beloved OTP

After a particularly bad week at school, Sunset Shimmer runs away from home to get away from all the unpleasantness. Not long after, she meets some particularly weird-looking aliens and a half-human, half-space rock boy, who, for some reason, refer to themselves as "Gems". Soon, Sunset learns about the many adventures of the Crystal Gems and their roles in protecting Earth. The Rainbooms feeling guilty over what they had done, decide to make amends with Sunset. But when all of them end up in the clutches of Homeworld, can they get out of the situation they created before it's too late?

After discovering the Elements of Harmony are useless against Spatium, Twilight Sparkle, Starlight Glimmer, Discord, Tirek, Cadance and her daughter Flurry Heart discover the key to defeating their foe is a legendary magician thought long-dead.
Whether the group save Equestria and the entire multi-verse from being enslaved or not doesn't matter...between the deaths, injuries, unrequited affection, reformed villains, and promotions to nobility, it's clear Equestria will never again be the same after this pulse-racing finale!
