This story is a sequel to Harmony Unbound

Luna is home again. A new home, in fact; a library in Ponyville. Things are messy right now between her and Celestia, and awkward. After things ended so poorly between the two of them last time, and clearly neither of them is ready to face the other again, she instead found herself a new place in the world.

But Luna is not sad. She has a new life, and new friends to lift her spirits. It's all helped her settle in, settle her past, and finally be happy again. Even if she cannot or does not go back to her old life with Celestia, she's plenty confident she'll remain cheery and content.

Then tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala arrive for her and her friends, and it completely stresses her out. Because Celestia will be there, and she might not be ready, even by then.

-Due to the temperamental outbursts of a pony with a bad attitude, a terrible evil has been unleashed, and it seeks to eliminate those it deems weak so that only the strong may live and rule

-A poor sported pony makes a pact with a viral computer program to cause trouble with United Equestria's electronic systems

-Confidence within Starfleet cadets is shaken, which prompts Lightning to take on a personal pupil of his own in attempt to save Starfleet's image

-Several of the team members are expecting their firstborns.

A dozen years ago Anon-A-Miss happened. Sunset was driven off, and by the time the truth came out, the damage was done: she was gone and friendships were sundered completely.

Five years ago, they invaded - aliens from beyond. With unknown purpose other than to kill and slaughter, they effortlessly swept aside most of the world's militaries. With 90% of the world's populace killed, humanity united to fight a desperate battle against an unknown, unyielding foe from beyond.

Now, with the world in the balance, a mysterious figure has appeared to fight the aliens. Cloaked and masked, she wields abilities only previously seen in fantasy against the aliens. Wherever she appears, she wins - and the aliens are hellbent on destroying this new foe. This mysterious savior is only known by the populace as The Queen of Knives.

But who is she?
