Book summary: In this story, Princess Luna is faced with her inner demons, but she only has the will to suppress them for so long. Princess Celestia suspects something is happening with her dear sister, yet she can't figure it out. Whenever she asks Luna, Luna can’t speak due to a curse. However as Celestia questions Luna, Luna’s inner demons grow stronger.

She ends up entering her inner self and attempts to fight it, but when she loses, all hell breaks loose and this time the elements can't stop this enemy, because as Luna loses. The elements of harmony are destroyed due to an ancient and forgotten power that Luna’s inner demon knows about. It is left up to a single alicorn to fight off this terrifying antagonist. Will this be the end of Equestria as we know it, or will the single alicorn sate the disaster?

A lone vampire bat sneaks through the mirror portal and ends up in the human world. Instead of apples, it now craves something far richer. And unfortunately for Sunset Shimmer, she's its next snack.

Sunset can't remember any of her activities past sundown. The light hurts not just her eyes, but burns her skin. And she's thirsty.

So very thirsty.

It's up to the Rainbooms to save Sunset from herself before she drinks the whole city dry. Too bad Twilight Sparkle is her primary target.

During a special Apple Festival in Ponyville, many of the apples seem to be sucked dry of their juices, and there are bite marks. And when it’s assumed to be Vampire Fruit Bats, a large figure is seen flying in the skies, too big to be a bat, but looks like a pony, causing a panic and soon the town’s folk begin to learn that a Vampire Pony is among them. Could Fluttershy been turned into Flutterbat again or is it something else?
