With Spike having become an adult, Canterlot now plays host to dozens of mares from the the Crystal Empire set on attracting his attention. Rarity, faced with the prospect of having real potential competition for Spike's heart, is forced to confront her own long-developing feelings for Spike, and the question as to whether Spike still feels the same way about her. Meanwhile, Spike decides that the time has finally come for him to tell Rarity how he's felt about her and finally put the question of their relationship to rest, one way or another.

Welcome to The Ghost of Coltistrano. As a little context to this story, it's something of a love letter to the age of old pulp heroes like Zorro, Lone Ranger, the Shadow, etc.. I really wanted to try my hand at both writing a novel and setting up a world where these sort of pulp themes intertwine with the MLP show itself. As you read, you may find hints and easter eggs to other properties, all of which are intentional, and are meant to pay homage to the many sources of inspiration this story has. +5 points to anyone who finds them all

Yes, as most of you may know, you have seen this story before. An older version, at least, a version I was not happy with.
So I deleted everything. Rewrote the story. And now I am here to start anew. Hopefully with better writing skills and with a more structured schedule but hey, who am I kidding?
