A unicorn's magic is a very personal thing, it being a vital component in their lives and their primary means of interacting with the world around them. However, for some unicorns magic is something much, much more. When Castor's horn was lost due to an unfortunate injury, this budding young spellwriter's self image was taken with it and she was left no longer knowing who she was. Physically surviving the blow to the head was one hurtle to overcome, but the days, weeks, and months following the injury revealed just how large of a piece of herself that she had lost.

Twilight the Wise, Celestia the Bright, Luna the Dark, Cadance the Beloved, Chrysalis the Dreamwalker; the Princesses of Old vanished ages ago, and their power was taken with them. With their guidance gone society has fallen into disarray, and the absence of their magic is beginning to tear the world apart. Starlit Sky is a humble pony, doing what she can to provide for her daughter and live in peace. But fate would have other plans for her, as she is contacted by a mysterious stranger and tasked with bringing the old princesses home to their ancient seat of Canterlot so that they might bring peace and prosperity back to their kingdom.

Cadance had always wanted a family of her own so to now have her husband and sweet daughter her life is complete and nothing could ever go wrong again. That is until Flurry Heart turned five and her Aunt Luna sent them an urgent message they needed to speak regarding nightmares that Flurry Heart was having.

Cadance's life would be forever changed after that meeting. One thing would never change though. She would always love her daughter... Always.

It was just like any other night. The moon had been up for hours and the ponies rested peacefully in their beds. Celestia, on this normal night, decides to take a stroll around the quiet palace.

This seemingly routine walk changes everything for her as she finds one young unicorn thief trying to rob her.

And this thief, harnessing magical powers quite rare to normal unicorns, catches Celestia's attention.

Scotch Muffin is fed up with being bossed around by bigger ponies who think they're smarter than her. They aren't smarter, and she's out to prove them wrong. Or maybe prove something to herself, as she sets off into the Everfree Forest. Which is not the most friendly place for a little filly. But even the Everfree Forest has it's good points. Like an odd friend, an even odder way out, and an adventure.

Author Note: Sorry if this doesn't fit to your interpretation of comedy, but, I think it's funny and I try to write it silly. Anyways, this got quite a bit of no love when I put through the first version, so I took it down, and completely re-did it. Changed the entire story, the only thing I kept the same was the main pony, which I liked too much to simply let go of. Hopefully it wasn't her that people disliked. But it doesn't matter, I only started writing it because I needed a break from Pony of the Gears. But, when I saw how much people disliked it, I took it down and decided to actually make it a story.

In the year 2020, two lifelong friends join a new VRMMORPG designed for bronies. But when it becomes a game of life or death, everything will change. The perils they face are many: monsters, hostile players, and an advanced AI that can warp reality to his whim. How will these two nitwits survive? Because they sure as heck don't know!
