A VR device has been released that allows you to go into a game as if it were reality. And oddly enough, Hasbro is a front-runner for the system as they have an MMO revolving their well-known show; My Little Pony.
As it releases, thousands of players log into the game to experience either the tech or the world of Equestria itself. Bonus, Discord is in the main villain! Too bad the creators made him self aware.
Whether that was a good idea or not, it wasn't, Discord takes control of the game and traps everyone inside. But not everyone is destined to win an MMO. Most players simply survive.
That's where we find two brothers: Alex and Joey.

This story has a rely good start. Having your mind trap in a on-line game whit your little brother and losing him just when the deadly stakes have been stated adds a lot to the dram of the situation, and stets it well apart from the main story so that it doesn't rely interfere. I can image a hole host of possibility of what append th his brother, and i have no doubt that he will move heaven an earth to find him.

The series I read, the progressive series, followed the main characters as they went up each floor. Book 2's on the third floor and Book 3 on the fourth. The anime went from floor 1 to floor 20-something by episode 3. They focused a lot more on worldbuilding too.

Great chapter I loved the drama and the fact that this time they really had to face the music that they couldn't afford to hide in Ponyville the whole time. I wonder how things will really start to develop. keep it up.
Its really sad to see this in very young mmo players. They act tough and act like nothing scares them. Though in reality, they just don't want to let their party down, or be a burden. This experience will haunt Joey, aka Light Chill, for a good while. I just hope they see this before it corrupts the poor kid.
Other than that, wow intense action. Even a flag boss when they least expect it. Even showing how experienced u are can mean the difference between a clean hunt, to near disaster. Can't wait to see what other challenges they will face.

Thank you so much! I know I've hinted that the group had to pick themselves up and fight through the game but even in the old version of this story this was the conversation that made me rewrite everything. They didn't have this kind of fight either.

This was what took me a while to write. I wanted to try making this feel like it could be a real reaction. Realistic character's are something I always strive for, even if the setting is definitely fictional.
Oh, and that Cragadile? It may feel like a boss to the party but technically, it's not a boss. Just a regular mob. Discord did say he was letting his monsters roam around outside their designated areas and this was the result. Cragadile's just a tougher monster that roamed into the Everfree for easier prey. The real (flag/mid/mini/etc) bosses I'm saving for now.
I think this was an interesting campaign mission the detail and mood was pretty on spot. Keep it up

As someone who had to go to school with someone who's English wasn't very strong, had to sit next to and explain/translate on what the teacher said and what was on the book, make sure you have a lot of patience, smart on putting aside extra time, know your stuff, and be creative on how you present a word they have no context to. It was hard, but rewarding in knowing I helped someone.

Yeah, the dates are something I did back when I first wrote this story. I kept it for the sake of consistency. I've been debating whether to remove it or not though. I might just put them inside the chapters themselves to make the chapters look nicer.
**EDIT** Yeah, I decided to remove the dates in the chapter names. It adds nothing and it seems nicer to simply put them in the chapter itself when it comes up.
