When Lyra was a filly, she had an imaginary friend like so many other fillies her age. Lyra's friend wasn't a pony though, but a strange bipedal creature from a land called Earth.

Like other fillies, she eventually outgrows her friend and moves on with her life: making real friends and learning music.

Unlike other fillies however, Lyra's friend returns one day with stories of wars and magic in his lands that had kept him from visiting. Many fantasies of these strange humans return to Lyra when she learns that her friend might not be so imaginary. What will she do with this knowledge?

And how with all the other ponies who can't see this creature react to the changes in Lyra?

Long ago when Celestia and Luna defeated Discord,the clash of harmonious and chaotic energies created a rip to another world. As time went on the rip grew in size, allowing various monsters and other beings to wander into Equestria. Fearing for their pony's safety, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna combined their power and forever sealed the dimensional rift. Now the year is 5 A.L.R (After Luna's Return) and the monsters that had crossed dimensions are starting to make their selves known.

What was once vision of happiness and joy for the future, may very well become one of fire, death, claws...and corruption. But even so their is no need to worry. Just take a deep breath and calm down because, wherever there are monsters that threaten the safety of the innocents there will always be those who rise up to hunt them down... and this time is no different. So relax,and try to keep calm, because once gain, the hunt is on.

This is a fanfiction that crosses the world and ideas of the uniquely popular Monster Hunter video games with My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Several chapters are completed and will be released as time goes on, to allow me to continue working on future chapters without too much of a hiatus between updates. yeah forget I said that.

The whole thing started as a misunderstanding. People thought i was writing a fanfiction when i was merely bouncing ideas around. Not to disappoint i decided to actually work on one. Note: the Original Character in this story is not mine. It is actually a friend's OC given the breath of life by me. Hopefully, not being involved with the creation of the OC will allow me to control it and mold it into a believable and interesting character, rather than, well, every other OC ever.

It’s all normal. This is how things have always been, since I was born. My father, my grandfather, my ancestors have all accepted and coped with these elements.

It has been several months since the disappearance of Twilight Sparkle..

One night, after watching her sister raise the Moon and set the heavens alight, Princess Celestia begins to bed down for the night, only to be interrupted by portal forming in her room. From out of the portal comes none other than Twilight Sparkle, garbed in strange armor.

Princess Celestia, along with Luna, Cadence, and Shining Armor, are overjoyed by the Element of Magic's return, but are justifiably curious as to where she had been and what she had been doing. And so, Twilight begins her tale. A tale of survival against impossible odds. A tale of a people fighting for the most basic right of all sentient beings. The right to exist.

Out of unnamed circumstance, a strange pony has arrived into Equestria with no memory of his former self. When discovered by the Elements of Harmony, will they aid him in re-obtaining his memory or will they teach him more about friendship for him to start a new life? One last question remains is why his cutie mark is an ominous looking '4'. Stay tuned to see what happens.

Lyra, a simple pony with simple dreams. Dreams involving aliens, that is. Her fascination with them even got her a job dealing with them, though no one takes it seriously. Lyra hopes to one day be able to meet one, she just needs to believe.

In comes a human, whom mysteriously gets transported to Equestria. It's up to Lyra to show the alien the ways of her people! The power of friendship, magic, and hugs await her on this strange adventure.

We’ve read it all before; human ends up in Equestria, meets ponies, etcetera... but what if it wasn’t the ponies they met and befriended first? What if it was another creature, say... the timber wolves?

After losing his way in the Forest of Dean, Jack Masterson finds himself in the magical world of Equestria with no clue how he can get back. After fleeing from the truly surreal sight of our favourite ponies, he finds himself back in a forest... and this time, he's not alone...

Meanwhile, trouble is brewing in Canterlot as Prince Blueblood works on his latest scheme to ruin the inhabitants of Ponyville. Will he achieve his revenge on the Mane Six, or will he fail yet again?

Not really inspired by anything in particular, so if you see similarities between this and another story, you're probably paranoid, unless I mention any references. Rated teen because the main character, while not based on myself, shares my fondness for swearing occasionally.
EDIT: this story now has a Dark tag, as one of my plot-points took an unexpectedly dark turn. I'm also considering switching it to a Mature content as a later plot-point might get darker still.
