Long, long ago, when the two worlds of Day and Night split apart, the Wonderbolts and Shadowbolts did as well. The Wonders belonged to the Day and the Shadows, to the Night. When they meet in their youth, they develop the most forbidden of friendships, meeting in secret as often as they can throughout the years. One day, it turns into something more.

But on the same day, their secret gets out.

Spurred on by hatred and betrayal, the two worlds prepare for war. Can these two friends prove to their people, enemies, and families that love and harmony is possible? Or will they never get the chance to be together like they want?

Follow them on this journey of love, trust, and betrayal as they teach the world and each other what True Love is - putting aside the biggest differences to accept them for who they really are, and to show that they are willing to do anything to ensure that the other is safe and happy.

EDIT (1/21/18): I hate to disappoint you guys, but I'm officially canceling this story. This version, at least. I jumped into this with no plan and in the process, got myself stuck in a messy web of world-building, details, history, and everything that this AU doesn't quite have set in stone yet. I'm leaving this here for your viewing pleasure, though, and I promise you, whenever it is that I get to rebooting this, it'll be much better; because then, it'll actually make sense.

After a mysterious stranger attempts to steal Twilight's magic crown, she must travel to another universe to confront the thief. There, she finds a world where magic and friendship simply do not work, and a school full of powerful adversaries who stand between her and her crown. If Twilight cannot retrieve it, her failure could mean the destruction of two worlds...

Umbra Night, a forgotten Prince of a forgotten race, was only a colt when he was found by Luna. She took him in becoming his teacher, friend, and his family. Even into adulthood they remained close, but when Luna is lost to the arms of her own darkness, will Umbra risk everything to free her from banishment, or will he fall into darkness as well...

Twilight and Chrysalis have been betroth to each other since they were fillies, but that was years ago. Now 10 years later the announcment of Cadence and Shining Armor wedding but that doesn't shock her what surprises Twilight is that she gets an invitation about her wedding also. What does this all mean to twilight? How can she love someone she doesn't remember. What's the true purpose behind these weddings?

After a particularly nasty run in with a monster during a mission from the map, Twilight discovers that she has apparently gained immortality due to her ascension as an alicorn. With this realization, Twilight and Spike go to visit the Royal Sisters to study immortality and get some advice.

Instead, Twilight finds herself flung into a whirlwind of confusion.

An alternate ending to Cutie Map where Starlight soon realizes trapping five of Equestria's greatest heroes in a shed, was more of a mistake than a smart move.
