Hey, I'm Rainbow Dash. You probably know me, right? What am I saying, of course you do. Best flyer in Equestria, and all that.

Well, the thing is, I'm kind of in trouble. You probably heard about my friend Twilight becoming a princess, right? Well, she cast this crazy spell and now I don't know where I am. I mean, it looks like Ponyville, but I know it isn't. It doesn't feel right. Ponies are paranoid, and the guards are everywhere.

Worst of all, though, everypony seems to run in fear at the mention of Twilight Sparkle.

What am I going to do?

The history books say that Commander Hurricane and his lieutenants Lightning Streak and Ice Wing successfully brought the Pegasi nation into a firm alliance with the other races, establishing a new country under the Royals in Equestria. Yet, time tends to forget the darker details of history. Not everypony was happy to see the mighty and miltant Pegasi subdued under the 'beneficial' union with the other races. The ensuing internal struggle would fade into Pegasi myth, a secret long thought laid to rest...

Thousands of years have passed. Equestria has been at peace under the Diarchy of Celestia and Luna. Nopony recalls the forgotten history of the Pegasi. It is all about to change. Storms from the past are on the horizon, an ancient vengeance set to transform Equestria. One month after the events of My Little Pony: Equestria Girls, Sunset Shimmer finds her life in the human world crumbling around her. As a dangerous new enemy begins to show itself, in the form of a powerful terrorist organization known as the Chrysalis Syndicate, Sunset finds herself with no choice but to return to Equestria.

Upon prematurely crossing through the portal, Sunset is arrested for her past crimes and brought to the Princesses. She finds a new mentor in Princess Luna, is reunited with a long-lost family member, and is sent on a mission that would redeem herself in the eyes of the Princesses and the rest of Equestria.

But everything is not as it would seem. Even now when Sunset has come back to Equestria, she finds herself facing great danger, including a sinister villain involved in her past. Will Sunset and her new friends be able to confront this renewed, improved menace?

Before her banishment, Luna established a colony in the hope that it would reinvigorate the broken kingdom. Dozens of orphans disappeared off the streets, not missed by most. Though Princess Celestia searched Kingdom of Equestria for decades, the Children of the Night were never found.

A thousand years later in the small town of Ponyville, Scootaloo receives a visitor carrying a grim message. What starts off as a journey to help a dear friend quickly becomes tangled in a conflict that has been brewing since before the rise of Nightmare Moon. These are histories not archived in any marble library in Canterlot. These are stories of seafarers and inkeepers, of orphans and griffins, and of an ancient race that Equestria has long tried to ignore.

When Discord returned to Equestria, after a thousand years of restless imprisonment, he was the embodiment of insanity. When the good Ponies of the empire heard of his intentional release, they were flabbergasted. Why let this maniac roam free and wreak his "Chaos" everywhere? However, soon after his release Discord began to calm down. He was seen to possess a strong ethic and, an admittedly sporadic, reserve.

After a while Princess Celestia saw fit to put Discord to work, "for the good of Equestria." His most recent charge was to write a book on Chaos. Discord however, has other plans. He has been conflicted about the nature of his release and subsequent freedom. Ultimately he becomes obsessed with finding out the "real" reason he was freed.

This takes place in a Season Four cannon that exists without Rainbow Power and ends before the Finale, hence the AU tag. I might try to figure out how to canonize it fully at some point, but I'm not holding my breath.

Sunset Shimmer. A name respected by few, known by many. Months after returning to Equestria, Sunset is once again in trouble with her former mentor. This time however, the crime is less trivial, and much closer to home than the alicorn would have preferred.

Her actions have now stirred up a hornet's nest, and in an effort to better understand the events that preceded, Celestia offers Sunset the chance to explain not only herself, but the motives behind her supporters for aiding her in her crime.

However, Sunset Shimmer is not the only problem that Equestria has to deal with, and before the dust settles, it becomes clear that Sunset's actions are only a part of a much larger scheme.

It's been two and a half years since Twilight Sparkle returned from the other world, leaving Sunset Shimmer in the company of the alternate group of friends she made. However, not all has gone well for her one-time rival in the other world. On the night of the 30th moon, Sunset emerges from the mirror and uses an ancient relic to switch their bodies. Alone in the care of Sunset's overbearing ex-tutor, Twilight uncovers the forgotten past that drove her rival to such desperation, while back in Ponyville, Sunset struggles with Twilight's lifestyle clashing with her own dreams.

Dusk Quartz is a second lieutenant in the Equestrian Royal Guard. As a break from the daily rut of Canterlot life, he is asked to help out in the search for a filly named Applebloom in the nearby town of Ponyville.

However, once there, he and his partner Winter Dawn soon realize something is amiss in the quaint town. Ponies are disappearing, but nopony knows where nor why.

Er... Is that sufficient? I'm rather new at this, I usually write non-fiction... Also, the plot of the latter chapters is still rather fluid due to discussions with my editor in California... I'm sorry, please don't hate me.
