Rarity is accidentally sent to a dark, frozen alternate reality, where the pegasi, unicorns, and earth ponies never resolved their conflict. In a world where unicorns are hunted and killed, Rarity's friends rush to her aid, only to find themselves quickly enmeshed in a great war, in a world in need of heroes.

The Order vindictively hunts unicorns and rules its citizens with an iron hoof. They claim the unicorns are responsible for the endless winter, and they claim their ruthless tyranny is necessary for the survival of ponykind against the cold, and they may be right.

The Ceruleans claim The Order must fall, that its cruel reign is what brings the winter, and the Ceruleans are willing to fight to bring a blue sky once more.

It is a world of heroes and villains on both sides, of powerful secret weapons that threaten to change the world forever, of powerful secret societies with mysterious and ambitious goals, and where magic is threatened by the dawn of powerful new technology. It is a world in turmoil, and a world in need of heroes of every kind.

It is a world apart from Equestria.

I consider myself a lucky guy. Good job, good family, and best of all, really, really good friends. We call ourselves MMPD, and together we've had tons of crazy adventures, helped one another discover ourselves, and always have had a good time. It's a shame we've drifted apart since high school, but at least we get to see each other once a year on our shared birthdays.

That tradition turned out to be a lifesaver, because as my friends and I just found out… well, let’s just say we’ve known each other a lot longer than we thought. Now we’ve gotta find a way back home, and hopefully we won't drive each other nuts along the way. We know we’re not the big heroes, and we’re all in WAY over our heads, but hopefully we can do enough to make a difference in the end. If we can do that, then I know we’ll have made our families proud.

I just wish we still had our capes.

And the rabbit hole only grows deeper from there.

The Crystal Ball Trilogy is a series of stories which deal with time travel, parallel universes, and other manipulations of time and space. Feedback is the first story; it is succeeded by Substitute and Divergence.

Applejack is chosen as The Nightmare's new host.

It really isn't that big of a deal. Until it is.

When strange ponies from another world suddenly pony-nap all her friends, Pinkie Pie must find a way to defeat their master all on her own. Blamed for the crime herself, she has no help from Celestia and just about every pony in Ponyville is convinced that she's finally cracked. Who can she possibly find to fill in for the other Elements of Harmony, and help her defeat the ancient evil behind it all?

This story was written for National Pony Writing Month 2011. I completed the required amount for PonyWriMo on 20th of September.

Tirek gave Twilight a choice: give up her magic, or lose her friends. Twilight chose the latter.

My own idea of where the Green Smooze came from. The last leg of the Paradise Ponies' fight against the witches. And how the heck the Smooze became a 'friend' of Discord's. And WHY is the Smooze green?!

I know this'll never be what happened in canon if they ever bother to show where the G4 Smooze came from, so I just went with what I felt made a good story. So just enjoy it! Optional Canon. Wrote this in a day.

Far across the ocean from any land known to Equestria sits the volcanic island nation of Hearth. It's ponies live a good life benefited by advanced technologies and metal flying machines that can carry any pony or cargo across the island in an instant, and watched over by the ever caring Hearth's Core military air force.

Big changes are coming to Hearth soon, and even the ponies responsible may have to change their plans when a routine flight gets lost in the fog and winds up over the magical land of Equestria. The sisters on board try to find a way home as they struggle first with survival, then life in a strange new land, then something none of them could have seen coming.
