The re-write is planned to be a 3-book epic, and the first book is pretty much done. I'm writing the draft for the last chapter now, while simultaneously doing some illustrations, editing, and the final post-pre-reading editing pass on the first chapters.

I anticipate I should be ready to start releasing the first chapters this month, or early next.

Just wanted to put up an entire blog post to thank this guy for writing this.

Dystopia, dystopia. But he did a very good job of making a story about a character in it. When looking at something like this, it really helps the gears in my head get turning, and inspires me to work on my own fiction some more. A new character will take the protagonist role, "REXXaRYNOPECITSUJ".
Parents killed at a young age by lava monsters (or so he thinks), he sought to take justice into his own hooves.
Rex hails from a squad of ponies that travel across the multiverse inflicting justice in dystopian AU's.

I'm not going to make empty promises that I'll suddenly start writing a chapter every week... But I may be writing a chapter every week already.

OR rather, I've proven to myself it's possible if I stop vectoring and use that late night "I WILL NOT FALTER" time to do that, instead.

I've been re-writing A World Apart to have a much more satisfactory premise/start, but will otherwise be much the same story in later chapters - such as chapters 4 and on, or whereabouts.

It's a rhetorical question. I mean, I guess it's possible, but very unlikely.

But DANG!, that's a description of A World Apart, is it not? No magic for most the populace, wendigos, eternal blanket of snow, "quite tragic," constant strife that consumes most their time, "neither fun nor free", being caused by a problem related to Hearth's Warming (undoing it's effects)...

I've made a whole lot of posts about my medical conditions, haven't I?

Well, they've been quite the adventure. What's happened since my last update? Well, there was the mass growing in my gut, a massive surgery I was in the hospital for ten days after, and now I'm still recovering.

Today, I had someone tell me they liked A World Apart, and eagerly await the next chapter.

I think, and somewhat understand why, that people often think "oh no, I don't want to bug the author." I'm not sure what authors don't like to feel appreciated, but I'm not one of them. A little encouragement like that honestly goes a very long way in motivating me to keep going. If you like it and want more of it, say something. It really means something to hear that.
