Well, it's been a long time since I've been around these parts! Those who've been following have seen I've had a bit of a crazy medical journey this summer, as soon as I wasn't terribly busy with college. Yikes. So, about that, and my activity here:
I've got Good News and Bad News
Bad News: I have ulcerative colitis. This is no fun at all. But I'm coping with it pretty well, and - fingers crossed - it's pretty much under control and wraps. The bad part is mostly that I won't be able to attend college this semester while I get treatment. I did horribly last semester, and in hindsight, I now know it was because I was suffering from exhaustion and other ill symptoms caused by it. I won't be repeating those terrible grades (I missed the physics lecture where we cover E=mc^2 because of my exhaustion! Oh the travesty! D: ). That's a bit of a bummer for me, I was really looking forward to all the sociality and fun of going out and about in college (ie, actually having a social life), and I'm also eager to hit the dating scene. But, alas, things would not go that way. It's becoming very apparent that if I go out before I've had this treatment, then this upcoming semester will be just as bad if not worse than last one. I simply don't have the energy I need to keep up with college life, and I won't until the ulcerative colitis is in remission (I do plan to return to BYU this winter, though).
And the good news: The upshot is I have a few months now without a lot of stress, and I should have time to write, do art, read, etc, and I hope to be more active here again. Currently I'm aiming to continue writing A World Apart, and maybe pick up some other projects of mine as well. Maybe I'll write something else, too (a little less dark and more spacey!), or maybe I'll pick Mars Pony back up - or something else entirely - I'm not sure. But in any case, sure I'm bummed a bit about missing out on college life, but this is a rare opportunity I have to really work on some fun personal projects, and I hope to make the most of it. Putting it that way, I'm even a little excited. Cheers! :)
PS; I'm thinking of using Comet Tail as my ponysona now. That way I can ship myself with Twilight without hitting the OCxCanon scene, and there's already CometLight ship material out there. And, hey, he's got an astronomy cutie mark, and I'm now a "physics-astronomy" major. It works great. I even made a character sheet for him on MLPForums XD
