Rainbow Dash is not like other ponies. She possesses magic.
Now, all pony tribes have various levels of magic, but Rainbow's is far stronger than most ponies. Her magic level is right on par with Celestia's and Luna's.
However, it is not a good magic. Rainbow's magic is 100% black magic.
She can only thank King Sombra for teaching her how to use it when she was a little filly.
And now, she must keep this secret away from her friends. She must tell nopony her secret.

Rainbow Dash, a Pegasus pony, absolutely Loves flying, especially at nighttime, where she is allowed to express her talent anyway she wants. Plus, she won't have to receive any complaints from Mayor Mare or even a few of her friends such as Rarity, Twilight, and even Applejack.

But, on one cool Summers night in the Whitetail Woods, Rainbow Dash hears the sounds of someone crying nearby, and rushes towards one of several beautiful lakes. When she arrives, the cyan Pegasus is shocked to find Cadence near the edge of the lake, crying .

Putting two and two together, Rainbow Dash rushes to the Alicorn's side, willing to stay with her for as long as she can while also wanting to find out why the Empress of the Crystal Empire is out here to begin with.

A/N: Even though the cover art is bad ass it's not what Rainbow will be wearing in the story. Also certain events won't happen like Twilight becoming a princess as it took all the elements to make her into an alicorn.

How did this happen. King Sombra has returned and taken over the Crystal Empire, the elements bearers are divided, and Equestria is at war. To understand the end we must start at the beginning, and it all started when Rainbow Dash preformed her first sonic rainboom.

If there's anything Rainbow Dash likes more than a good prank, it's being told that she's good at pranking. So when Princesses Celestia and Luna show up at her front door to tell her just that, she is delighted and not suspicious in the very least.
