Before there was the Gryphon Kingdom, there were the Griffin Tribes.

Before there was unity, there was strife.

Before peace, there was war.

Blessed Arnau is the Last Lady of the North, facing an enormous task. The griffins face a seemingly unstoppable enemy tide—The Cloven of the Sun. Marching endlessly northwards, they hunt for the remnants of the griffin Tribes making their last stand in the stronghold of Falhstein, a stronghold that has not tasted war in decades.

With promise of support from Fortis, a mere commoner of surprisingly sharp mind and will, she is tasked to lead a defense that will mean the survival or end of her race.

This is her story.

The story takes place in the The Gentlemanverse, predating the a time before Equestria opens a portal to Earth. It is an exploration of Gryphon Kingdom history before the events of Feathered Heart.

Twilight has always been the best there is at magic. She's won dozens of scholarly competitions and tests of skill in Canterlot. But when it comes to the more violent uses for magic, she is essentially clueless.

When she meets a strange unicorn in a seedy bar, he introduces her to a little known sport that will test her knowledge of magic in different ways. That is, of course, if Twilight can't resist its primal lure.

Spike figures out that Cheerilee is making up reasons to visit Twilight at the library, and Rarity further figures out that it's because she must have a crush on Twilight.

When Ponyville's dedicated fashionista combines forces with Ponyville's only dragon to bring two adorably awkward book loving mares together, nothing can go wrong! Except perhaps, everything!

Oh yeah, and some pony ordered 20 trampolines and a bunch of other stuff that keeps getting delivered to one wrong address after another because of the world's worst delivery pony, Blue Bonnet.. More on that later.

Ten years after King Sombra attempted to reclaim his throne, a long, bloody war broke out between the griffons and ponykind. The war lasted three dreadful years. Many lives were lost, including that of Princess Celestia's. Nine years after the peace treaty was signed, Cadence and Shining Armor have taken over as King and Queen of Equestria.

Luna has been taking care of their foals, and one day, a filly by the name of Amoura asks Luna what's been bothering her.

This is the first story of The Nightmareverse. Now featured on Canterlot's Finest.

In times past, ponies would keep their fillies from being bad by telling them that if they didn't behave, Nightmare Moon would come back and get them. Of course, Nightmare Moon hasn't been back since the Elements of Harmony defeated her in Celestia's presence.

Twilight has had dreams of Nightmare Moon's return since her defeat, but she never thought they would actually come true. Then one day, she receives a rather odd visitor... And the chain of events to follow threatens to tear asunder everything that she holds dear.

Queen Chrysalis has found Equestria once again, and decides to try to gain the ponies' love to feed on. To do this, she must ban Twilight Sparkle, who will ruin her whole plan, from Equestria. Well, she'll have to change into a certain pony to do that, a certain pony who has the power to do anything she can imagine, and won't matter to anypony...

There's an old adage passed around that you don't come between a mother and her children. Nowhere in Equestria is this more applicable than where a Changeling Queen is concerned. The ferocity with which they will defend their children is unparalleled. There are no regrets. There are no restraints. But then...

What would you do if you had hundreds of children?

And what would you do if suddenly, there was another Queen between you and your children?
