Chrysalis Finds Equestria

After a landing of pain and much discomfort, Chrysalis and her Changelings had been slightly injured while hitting the ground too hard. Landing in a place they did not know was just what they had expected. But these were the least of their problems.

The worst of their problems was that they could not find Equestria. No matter how hard they searched, far and wide across the flatlands, there was no sign of pony civilization. How far from Equestria were they? Being blasted out of civilization is one thing, and not being able to find it again is another.

Chrysalis was still confident that she and her Changelings would find Equestria, if it took years and years, no matter how much they collapsed from thirst, and hunger, and sorrow, she would not give up. She knew that everything it took to find Equestria again, she would take it. Of course, even if the Changelings did find Equestria again, there would be Princess Cadence, Prince Shining Armor, and the most obnoxious one of all-- Twilight Sparkle.

Chrysalis shivered at the thought of having to face Twilight Sparkle. The purple unicorn mare had saved the whole kingdom of Equestria more than once, was the main Element of Harmony, and worse-- Was a princess now. She had just enough power to knock the Changelings right out of Equestria for good. Pray tell, that won't happen.

Chrysalis used her Changeling magic to see if civilization was near. There's got to be some place around here with ponies. The Changelings were starving. After casting the spell, she instantly knew that there still was no ponies around. Didn't anypony live in these parts? It was probably undiscovered. If anypony knew these parts, there would be at least some buildings and ponies here.

Technically, it was Chrysalis's own fault for being blasted out of Equestria in the first place. Well, not exactly. She didn't know who she was messing with. Therefore, if she'd just kept her identity a secret, nopony would have known. But she did. For a reason. It was just so tempting and itching her to do the right thing-- Show herself.

If Chrysalis had kept her identity a secret, none of her subjects or her would be into this mess...

Chrysalis flew into the air, squinting her eyes to see if there was anything nearby. Nothing. Chrysalis flew foward, still scanning the horizon. She didn't stop flying foward. She knew some ponies had to be around, or else her Changelings would die of hunger.

Chrysalis cast the near spell again, too see if any ponies were nearby. YES!!!

Chrysalis sent out a mind message to her subjects, telling them there were ponies nearby. From what seemed like miles away, the Changelings could tell where their Queen was and flew at 997 miles per hour, which was a LOT for a pony. But the average speed for flying for a Changeling.

The Changeling armies gathered around their Queen and helped her find civilization. They found Equestria half a mile away, and flew as fast as they could to go eat. Chrysalis, however, had other plans.

Time to ban Twilight from Equestria, thought Chrysalis. This is gonna be easy!

But after that thought flowed through Chrysalis' head, she realized it wasn't gonna be easy. She couldn't just ban Twilight from Equestria as the Changeling Queen. No, that simply won't do. She'd have to transform into somepony who COULD banish Twilight from Equestria. And when she did, she could banish Cadence, Shining Armor, and the one she's always hated-- Celestia.

Hey, that wasn't a bad idea at all! It was PERFECT! All Chrysalis had to do was change into Celestia and she could do anything she wanted... Maybe even let her Changeling army LIVE in Equestria after the real ponies are gone.

Well, she had to start now. Now.

She couldn't change into Celestia unless she saw her. The one flaw in Chrysalis' plan. Now, where did Celestia live? Chrysalis did not know. Ponyville? Fillidelphia? Saddlearabia? Manehatten? Cloudsdale? Canterlot?

Yes, Canterlot! But... WHERE? A princess wouldn't live in an ordinary house. A castle? Canterlot Castle! That's it!

Chrysalis grinned mischieviously at the "Welcome to Canterlot" sign. The best plan she'd ever had, and just came right out of her head!

In the distance, she saw a castle with a sparkling, rippling waterfall and a pond.

Celestia must live there, Chrysalis thought. I hope she's home today, because she's got a surprise comin' in the mail for her!

Chrysalis flew at full speed to the castle. She had to make sure that nopony saw her, or her whole plan would be ruined! She flew so high above the clouds that even the highest-flying pegasi could not see her. Chrysalis' eyes were still fixed on the castle, and though for a normal pegasus it would take about 50 minutes to fly all the way from the beginning of Canterlot to the Canterlot Castle, for Chrysalis and the Changelings it took about 5 minutes. Again, the Changelings could fly faster than any other being on the whole wide planet.

After five minutes, Chrysalis got to Canterlot Castle. She hid behind the Canterlot Archives tower, and hoped that none of the guards saw her. Chrysalis quickly and quietly flew up to the biggest tower and looked through one of the stained-glass windows of Cadence and Shining Armor defeating she and her Changelings.

Chrysalis watched closely as Celestia entered the room. The Queen let out a chuckle, but then saw Celestia's head was turning her direction. Chrysalis let out a small shriek. She flew up on the top of the tower. However, Chrysalis instantly knew this was not a smart idea.

Unlike the other towers, this tower had a glass roof. Chrysalis hadn't realized that until she landed on it. Not only was this a place Celestia could see without any X-Ray spells, Chrysalis had made an accidental thump noise on the roof. Celestia looked up.

Oh, crud, thought Chrysalis. She tried to fly away, but even she was not fast enough to escape the grab of Celestia's magic. Chrysalis instantly teleported into the tower.

"What do you think you're doing here, Chrysalis?" said the princess angrily.

"So. We meet again, Celestia," Chrysalis replied in the same tone as Celestia's. "I know what you're thinking. 'How did I come back?' Well, your niece and her dumb husband did not blast my Changelings and I as far as they wanted to. After flying around for days, bored... I found Canterlot. And I'm not here to feed on your subjects."

Celestia looked at Chrysalis baffled and unsure. "No?"

"Or am I?"

Chrysalis' horn flashed in a green aura. The aura flashed in a tornado around the Sun Goddess. Celestia let out a shriek and in a huge explosion of flashes she was gone. Chrysalis let out an evil laugh and changed into Celestia's body.

"Princess Celestia? What's going on in there?"
