What if Luna wasn't banished to the moon? What if she was there by choice? On vacation?

Just an idea that popped in my head one day. I banged this out in only three hours, so constructive crtiscism is welcome.

Luna's finally ready to get back out there into the world of Equestria, ready to see what's become of ponykind in the past thousand years. Except... she's not quite ready to go out on her own, amongst ponies that know only tales of nightmares and betrayal about her, and the one pony she knows personally is a little busy running a kingdom and raising the sun. When the offer for companionship comes from an unlikely place, Luna learns two great lessons. One, the risk to get to know a pony can lead to great rewards. Two, socks make everything better.

Inspired by Friendship with Benefits is Magic. Not intended as a direct followup as much as my own take on the idea. What is Celestia to do when Twilight Sparkle shares a little too much? And why doesn't Twilight have any idea what she's talking about? And why is Luna smiling so much!?

Followed up by yet another epistolary conversation between Twilight and Celestia about the magic of not knowing what the hay that other pony is talking about. Features a special guest appearance by naughty!Luna.

It's been so many years, sweetie. You've grown so very much, learned so very much, excelled at so very much. You've met a lot of extremely wonderful ponies, all outgoing and pure at the heart, where it truly counts. The camaraderie between you and your friends has made you strong, has made you a better pony, has made you so very remarkable. I'm very proud of you. I've always been proud of you. So where has the time gone? Seems like just yesterday I was feeding you... but time moves so swiftly, so restlessly. Time is a burden that we all share. I'm sure that you don't remember me, but I certainly remember you. And I love you. I do, dear. I love you.

Faced with the possibility of being evicted from her apartment for inability to pay rent she decides to take a temporary job at a local nightclub. Of course, she's never set hoof in a club before and has no idea what she's getting involved in . . .

Rainbow Dash and Rarity both got what they wanted from life: Rainbow is captain of the Wonderbolts, and Rarity runs the most famous fashion boutique in Canterlot. However, when Rainbow tries too hard and hurts herself, Rarity finds herself not only furious and worried but also...in love?

Princess Celestia had been going to spend the evening in a royal mope, but Pinkie Pie has other plans for the night, plans which involve piercing the walls of time and space with her most ambitious birthday greeting yet.
