Vinyl has spent many a production behind the scenes, a lowly audio tech waiting in the wings. But she can't help but become awestruck by the beauty that is Black Rose Company's star actress, Octavia Philharmonica. After months of waiting, Vinyl finally gets a chance to befriend Octavia, and sets off on her ensuing quest to win her lady's heart.

Octavia has already accepted Vinyl's bisexuality. In fact, they 'flirt' with each other constantly. But what happens when Octavia invites Vinyl to stay the night? Vinyl goes to band camp. She meets Octavia, a shy girl. She puts out the effort to get Octavia to talk to her, and a fast friendship forms. After spending a summer together, one of them may be falling in love.

One night, Rainbow decides to hit the club, and hang out with her friend Vinyl. They head out to the roof to take a break from partying. What happens next may change how their whole world views love... or at least their friends and family.
