As a princess, Twilight always thought life would become busy, stressful, maybe even taxing, and she loved the thought. However, there are three other princesses, so she is going to need to take a few lessons first before she can figure out how to make the menial important and get back to her normal work again.

Now if only the subject of her study didn't have such a cute butt!

Princess Nightmare Moon had tried to keep it secret. She had suppressed her power, feigned ignorance, played the outdated fool at every opportunity. She should have known that something like this would happen. A threat that would reveal her, whether she played dumb or not.

If she had to reveal herself, then at least she could protect Equestria in the process. She nocked the arrow. The bow felt so flimsy, but she could not risk him absorbing a spell. She laced magic across the arrow and the string and the air, enough to make it fly faster and aim smoother. She sighted him easily; Tirek was a large target. Now he only had to turn around. An arrow to the spine would kill him simply and instantly, no matter how much magic he had absorbed.

Once he was dead, the hard part would come: explaining herself to Celestia.

Hey, I'm Sweetie Belle, and this year at school is pretty much going to be the best ever. I mean, it has to be, since if it isn't, my friends will all leave me as soon as they get their cutie marks. Also, I have to deal with Diamond Tiara being in one of my classes, and she's pretty much as terrible as always. Plus, the teacher for that class is a big mean jerk. Oh! And apparently I'm not good at acting, making the list of things I am good at exactly zero. But besides the fact that my friends are probably going to leave me, my acting class hates me, and I'm not really good at anything, everything's great. It has to be. All great leaders begin somewhere. Also, they fail somewhere down the line, but hey, you can't make a revolutionary government without cracking some eggs. For Starlight, she just ran out of eggs to crack and is now on the run, her own little slice of utopia utterly ruined.

However, she has a plan. A plan that cannot fail! A plan that involves her escaping through the tunnels of the mountains, writing a manifesto proclaiming her greatness, and then for her to set up a new town somewhere far away from Princess Twilight.

The manifesto part, as it turns out, is the most difficult to pull off of the bunch. Who would've guessed?
