It was a simple, straightforward question. Or at least, that’s what she thought. Nevertheless, she looked at the mare opposite to her and cocked her head. “Pardon me, but, do I know you?”

After taking the throne, Twilight had a lot of things to do - a transition that had never happened before was bound to be fraught with a thousand unexpected complications.

As part of the transition, Twilight finds herself going through Princess Celestia's old personal papers, finding secret after clue after instruction long forgotten about. And among those papers, Twilight finds a letter.

A letter addressed to My Faithful Student, Twilight Sparkle.

A letter never sent.

I wonder how I am going to feed Owlowiscious tonight? It will be quite hard to feed him without hooves. Maybe I can use my wings to grab the food, but it might be hard to do that if they are not on my body anymore. My ears hurt, and that constant ringing won’t come out of my ears, why is everything so numb?

Written for the Thousand Words Competition. After MANY edits, and LOTS of bellyaching... I finally got there in the end.

This is a request story from Chazkopa, and is an alternate ending to Canterlot Wedding. It's based on this, but when Twilight's about to kill Chrysalis, the changeling queen creates a portal and escapes, realizing that with Twilight so powerful in dark magic, she'd be unable to conquer Canterlot.

The Mane 5, Shining and Celestia apologize to Twi, but it's too late. She doesn't forgive them. Twilight angrily turns to them, and broadcasts a recording of what happened at the wedding rehearsal. The wedding guests were furious. Also, when she broadcasted it, not only Canterlot, but all of Equestria saw. And then...
