When Derpy is attacked by a cockatrice mid flight and crashes, she expects her life to end when she realizes she hit a timberwolf. Rather than that, however, the timberwolf does it's very best to keep her safe from the dangers of the Everfree forest.

Flitter loves her twin sister, Cloudchaser, more than anything in the world. The two were inseparable for as long as they could remember, helping each other through times of trouble and cherishing their joyous moments together—one half that completes the other.

But Flitter had never imagined losing Cloudchaser forever. Without her sister, she feels that everything had suddenly become darker, more hollow, as though something inside her had died as well. Though it is difficult, she must find the strength and will to somehow push past the grief and emptiness and carry on in a life without her other half...

A young teenager, no more than thirteen, has a fight with her mom and storms off to bed. her mothers last words were, "never go to sleep angry." What the hell did that mean?! But she didn't care, or listen. She just went straight to bed and closed her eyes, thinking about how angry her mom made her. "I hate her! I hate hate hate her so much! She finally falls asleep....

Equinophobia was the psychological fear of horses. Now it's gone along with the remnants of her person.

In her desperate and broken state of mind, Ryan had made the faux offer of being integrated into Equestrian society. She never realized the sun goddess would agree with her.

Memories stripped and replaced as she's morphed into a new form, the woman formerly known as Ryan becomes the mare known as Silverbolt.

However, not all the remains of her past can be so easily erased.

Ryan's "offer" takes place in the beginning of chapter twenty-one of the original story in case you don't recall.

My attempt at a HiE fic. I'm taking it as a challenge to write a good story in this genre.
