A young filly in present day Ponyville is cursed with nightmares of post-apocalyptic Equestria. She finds herself influencing the course of future history in ways that she cannot understand. She must learn to balance her life at home with her life on the other side of the veil, and fight to preserve her own sanity, and her own innocence.

She discovers that such a task is only possible through the magic of friendship.

The quirky Cherry Lattice is a baker in Maretropolis who loves her job, and more than eating the masterpieces she bakes, she loves to share her goodies with others to brighten their lives. But that’s her day job. At night, she’s known as Fili-Second, the speedy mare who cleans up the crime in the streets in record time.

As her belief stands that nopony should have an unhappy Hearth’s Warming, she decides to pay a special visit to a certain somepony to make his or her holiday a merry one.

(NOTE) I realize that the official comics have a different canon concerning the Power Ponies; but for story purposes, I will be ignoring the comic canon, for the most part.

Summer Song has just lost her best friend and tries her best to accept her absence and cope with it, but she simply can't. Satin Sea was her only real friend and the world feels "full of nothing" without her.
Clinging to the solace of her journal, she begins to write, only to find a response one day from a sympathetic stranger. The stranger, a girl named Amelí, tells Summer of a foreign world where she lives, and they soon find that each can see the other's writing in their respective journals. They become pen pals of a sort, and subsequently fast friends as they share their secrets with each other and their friendship grows. Summer can even feel the hole in her heart slowly healing.
But one day, things take a turn for the worse...

I began this as a way of letting out much of the pain I had been feeling, an idea that came to mind as I was writing a blog post. It's also something of an experiment with writing style and devices, so please leave feedback below, positive or negative, on what you think!
The title is inspired by Ella Wheeler's poem "Solitude", from which comes the famous saying "Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Weep, and you weep alone."
The image is a currently unfinished one by me, cropped and given a dark grey background. If I find the motivation, or if enough people poke me, I may finish it (and perhaps update the cover art as well).

Far away, above the Neighagra Falls, in the Region of Crystal, lies the Forest of the Deer. Few know about them. Few know that there is even a forest. But there, in isolation, there they are. The Crystal Deer, and the Papilio Changeling Hive. Living in isolation for thousands of years, the two kingdoms live knowing only of each other. But that has changed. The Papilio Hive has gained news of Chrysalis' defeat. With it, comes the knowledge of Equestria, and its rulers and inhabitants. Then, came the Crystal Empire, only miles away from their resting place. The ignorant have been educated at last.

2 years later, the Empress and Queen have finally decided.
Its time to open up the gates. After almost 7,000 years, the isolated kingdoms have finally sent out the requests for ambassadors and reporters to come to their country, so that they may meet and learn what they have been missing for so long. Finally, a link has been sent out. Its time for the world to know.
The Forest of the Deer and the Papilio Changeling Hive are out of their shell, and only relations and bonds, and quite possibly enemies, can come out of it.

Set after season 5 finale! This story is primarily based on my original species, the Crystal Deer, so I will regularly update and edit this story as ideas come to me. Dont worry, I will still work on my other story, Divided. (is talking to literally no-one )

Jason's life has grown dull. While some may have thought that the weekly monster attacks might have kept him on his toes, he had grown to learn that as the norm around town. For the first time ever, Derpy Hooves is taking the day off. Why would such a hard-working mailmare abandon her duties? That day, when Dinky comes home from school, her mom's strange behavior leads her to discover something that will change both their lives.

NOTE: This is a story from the fandom's early days, written during season one. This portrayal of Derpy is based on early fanon about her personality and nature. It's not meant to contradict the canon personality she eventually got.

About to enjoy herself with a muffin, the peace is shattered as Derpy and several ponies notice a hole suddenly appearing in the sky above Ponyville. With no idea of what's going on, they watch as something seems to be happening beyond the hole.

Just then, something begins to fall...
