Twilight has decided: she's the ruler of Equestria now, so she's done with sending those private letters to Princess Celestia. Just one small detail: she hasn't told Spike yet. Yeah, this'll end well...

(Takes place between The Ending of the End, and The Last Problem.)

It's been a hundred years since Twilight was crowned. Most of her original friends are gone. Now, only Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy remain, each with a spark of something special keeping them past their time.

But unlike Twilight, neither of them has a claim to true immortality.

Winner of the 15th Quills and Sofas Speedwriting contest. The prompt was "A Worthy End." The contest was a two-parter, and each chapter was written in an hour, and then expanded slightly afterwards.

In time, all of Twilight Sparkle's friends have had to say their last goodbyes. And as the last of the original Cutie Mark Crusaders passes on, the Princess decides to send her off in grand fashion.

But after the party, the tears, and her newer friends have moved on, and Twilight is all alone once again, somecreature she once thought of as a friend decides to visit her for tea.

Memorial, or Desecration? Twilight might just have to decide tonight, on the loneliest night of her life...

After seeing his final sunset Spike awakens, having been reincarnated as a Female Kirin, still retaining thousands of years worth of Memories, she does everything in her power to try and raise to a position of power so she can be near her friends, all the while trying to think of a way to tell them who she use to be.
Will she win them back, or will she spend the next thousand lifetimes trying to return to their lives.

Spike was raised in the Dragon Town area of Fillydelphia, until his sixteenth birthday when he discovers his true origin and it leads him to the Sun Princess of Equestria. At her suggestion, he moves to Ponyville, taking over the local Spa and finding himself growing close to everyone in the small town. He'll find where he belongs with those he bonds with.

Spike has enough. His daily life consists of cleaning up messes, running errands, and being left out of the fun. Twilight and her friends go on epic adventures, sing songs, party, and have a fun time. It's time for Spike to change his life for the better no matter the cost.

(The beginning of this story starts before season 5)

Spike is her number-one assistant and that will never change. Even in her becoming a greater princess he has not failed in that role.

Isn't it odd how a dragon can compensate for a castle?

Twilight discovers his secret... and must save him from it.
