For the first time in eighty years since the death of Mrs. Harriet, the abandoned mansion is being explored by a small crew of filmmakers, set to make a documentary of their exhibition. The huge mansion, sat alone miles from the nearest town in the middle of winter, has been the muse of many haunted house stories in Equestria, but never once has anyone been granted permission to go inside... until now.

Director Oatberg, historian and writer Lost Scroll and narrator Iris Lens are set to explore the mansion, but get lost within the maze of hallways, rooms, and forgotten sections. Hearing and experience things that they can’t explain, they begin to wonder if there was some truth in the legend of this haunting place.

This story is a gift to my good friend and fellow writer: Milo_Chalks and his coltfriend.

Inspired by the history and historical setting of the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, California.

Several years later, after Twilight has become an Alicorn, the Academy of Magic and Friendship makes it's grand opening at last.

Sixteen ponies, former students of Cheerilee's class of fillies and colts, are summoned to attend the new high school on a tour. However, things turn sour quickly when the tour is taken over by a strange, black and white teddy bear, who declares that the ponies have to commit a perfect murder in order to go home.

In this edition of Dangan Ronpa, the events will stray from the canon series, but stay faithful to the character driven, dark humor style of Dangan Ronpa, so it'll be written as if it started in Equestria! No need to have played the games at all to understand the story, but it'll add to the experience if you're watching the anime/play(ed) the game.

But I Pinkie Promise that there will be NO SPOILERS of the Dangan Ronpa games.

From the day of her birth, an unknown guardian has watch over Twilight Sparkle. He has secretly protected her, assisted her, and been there for almost every significant event in her life, watching from the shadows as she grew into the wonderful and loved Princess of Friendship.

And yet, trouble is brewing, and with Twilight's life is now in danger, her unknown guardian must come out of the shadows and do all that he can to protect her, even if it breaks both their hearts in the process.

But just who is this pony? Why does he have such an interest in the Princess of Friendship? Why does he seek to protect her even at the cost of her happiness and his own?

And what is the force that threatens the young mare's life?

We lost our closest friend because of those stupid ponies! They're all idiots! Princess Celestia and Princess Luna thought they knew how to rule their kingdom, well they forgot one very important thing: power! I need more." "Listen to yourself, Twili-" "Be still! It's Hysteria. Queen Hysteria. Princess Twilight was weak. With this power I will renew Equestria! Yes. I will build a better world!!!" The Queen then started singing to herself, "Feel that donation. Annihilation. The shocking death of Princess Celestia came and all of Equestria mourned. None could explain, either scientific, medical, or magical, could explain the utter failure of her body and her demise. After her passing, Twilight Sparkle finds herself plagued with answers of how and why this happened. In order to find out what happened, and prevent such a thing from happening again, Twilight use the same potion Zecora gave her during the vine incident to step into the past and find the answers she seeks.

Yet the answers are nothing she ever expected, and what she learns will shatter everything she has known about Princess Celetia and her thousand year rule since her sister's banishment.

Twilight Sparkle's wildest dreams have just been met, and exceeded. Due to an unexpected magical outburst during her entrance exam to Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, the Solar Princess herself took an interest and took Twilight on as her personal student.

This was a pleasant shock for Twilight and her family. However, a few months later, a less pleasant shock would reach Twilight in the form of Celestia returning to Canterlot with a new daughter, a freshly adopted pegasus filly named Rainbow Dash. As the two get to know each other, Twilight can clearly see something eating at the self absorbed and competitive filly's mind.

To make matters even more confusing, Princess Celestia is now hiding something. Twilight dares not question it, but it is quite clear that Celestia isn't being wholly open with anypony about her decision to adopt some random orphan.

Could the answers have something to do with the cryptic dream Twilight had the night before she met Rainbow Dash?

This is the original version of the first story I've ever written, over the course of three months as a brand new writer in late 2014.

I'm including these chapters here as a record of how the story looked when it began. This was the prototype for what would, over many years, become Black Feather. The story has gone through multiple complete rewrites, but this was the initial version. Enjoy reading my clumsy first steps into the world of writing!

Life was pretty routine for Spike: Wake up, eat some food, keep Twilight and Starlight in check, go back to bed. It was a simple life, if not a bit predictable.

All that changes when Celestia calls on him to defeat an evil force that threatens to tear Equestria to pieces. What's more, the only way to defeat this force is to travel over a thousand years into the past and prevent it from existing in the first place.

Things just got a bit more complicated for the dragon.

Canterlot. It’s not Manehattan or Detrot, where poor, little ponies commit their little crimes. In Canterlot, crimes are so big, they go unnoticed. Ponies can’t comprehend them; just like an ant can’t comprehend a pony passing by.

But somepony made a mistake. Small crime; a broken body on the pavement.

Scootaloo and Archer both saw many things in their lives. But this trip will take them to places they wished they didn't know.
