This is the story of two ponies-- or rather, ponyoids. The first is Chrysalis, nearly dead in the aftermath of A Canterlot Wedding. The second is Bold Words, a struggling author who has a near-dead changeling queen crash through his roof. Wonderful.
Thorax and Pharynx were always physically and mentally distinct among changelings. In fact, before ousting her, the only changeling more distinct was Chrysalis herself. Is there a connection there?
Starlight was just showing Thorax around ponyville during Hearts and Hooves day explaining the holiday to the changeling king when they came upon a disguised Chrysalis sitting in the park.
Surprise wants to find his home, Pinkie decides to help him with that the only way she can think of, they go on a journey across all of Equestria. What could possibly go wrong?
Celestia wants to learn more about the Hives within Equestria, but since she has a country to run, the Hive Queens allow her student to spend a day within each Hive, and see a single day in the lives of a Queen.
It's been a long time since the Changeling Invasion of Canterlot was repulsed and that Equestria has gone back to their usual Business. What nopony expects though...is that the enemy is far from defeated...and has already infiltrated them once again.
