After being banned from coming to the wedding, Twilight leaves Equestria and becomes a member of the Storm King's army. This allows Twilight to become close friends with Tempest as Twilight swiftly rises to the rank of 2nd Commander and is renamed Sparkle Shadow.

It's been nine years since Twilight's ascension, and her relationship with her friends has never been stronger. While many things have changed about their respective lives, Twilight and her friends remain very close.

Unfortunately, their heroism will need to be called upon again, but this time, they may not be enough. The Nightmare Moon Incident had one more complication, one final loose end. One pony, thought forever lost to the passage of time, returns. And she will have her mother free... or die trying.

When a mysterious unicorn appears out of nowhere to save Derpy and disappears just as suddenly, Dash resolves to find him; following him into a world of dark secrets she could have never possibly imagined.

Twilight can tell her brother is hiding something; he promised not to, but he is. Every night he wakes up screaming, and every day he's more afraid. She doesn't know how to help him, but he won't survive without it.

This is Cadence; can anypony hear me? We're trapped in the Everfree Forest. All I see are trees in every direction, but there's something out there; and it's coming closer. Shining Armor is sick, I think he's dying. Please, if anypony finds this message, send help.

Look at them; the blissfully ignorant citizens of Ponyville. They think their freedom comes without cost. They believe the peace they enjoy has no price. Set one year after and alternate ending to season two. Shining Armor and Cadence never married. Three weeks before the wedding was scheduled to take place, it was postponed indefinitely. No explanation was given to the citizens of Canterlot.

They lied to me. They told me I’d been sick, that I'd contracted a virus, and that’s why I couldn't remember two years of my life. Celestia, my friends, Shining Armor, Cadance, Spike… they all looked me straight in the eye, and told me the same thing, the same lie, for eighteen years.

I will never forgive them.

Equestria at peace and Luna by her side, Celestia has everything she ever wanted. But now that she has what she asked for, Celestia refuses to uphold her end of the deal and Zecora does not abide broken contracts.

You think I’m crazy; don’t you? You’re just like all the others, judging me before you know me because you believe everything you hear without even considering that that the world might be wrong; because you don’t think!

The Overlord, Thorax, has come to set the world back into its dark path, and only the recently turned Sisters stand in his way... but they'll need help. Light once came through that mirror. Surely light can be brought forth again, to quell this rising evil before it is too late.

Nightfall is over Equestria and the moon shines brightly as Princess Luna protects her subjects. However, a creature comes to Equestria in the night, crash landing inside the Everfree. Scootaloo was in hell for months before Anon-A-Miss was born. Her father Speedy Bullet went to war against Discord's Armed Forces. Scootaloo only had her mother Ember Light. She couldn't do much for her beloved child. Then there was Rainbow Dash. Scootaloo enjoyed Rainbow's company but soon fell apart when Sunset Shimmer came and took her all away. Then Anon-A-Miss came and seemed promising enough to get Rainbow Dash back. Soon she realized that her Anon-A-Miss wasn't the right move even tho she went forth to stretch the truth about Sunset Shimmer. Anon-A-Miss got out of control and chaos spread in the school like a wildfire. After Anon-A-Miss was caught and deactivated, some students decided to punish Scootaloo themselves. They went too by burning down her house along with killing her mother Ember Light. Scootaloo became an orphan. After the ones that were caught killing Ember Light, Scootaloo saw that her friends Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom smiling and happy that Diamond Tiara, their tormentor caught in the act of murder. She knew right then and there that they were not her friends so she dropped them in pain. After all, that seems lost, a new family adopted her. Commander Sombra and his wife, Radiant Hope took Scootaloo home and transferred her to a military school.

Now that everything is summarized a little, Scootaloo will be meeting new friends and see some familiar faces along the way. Her new life begins now and something else will make its way.

This is a sequel towards the final chapter of the EQG side of Anon-A-Miss: Friendship is Home.
