Don't do it Trixie! It's a trap!

Trixie: But she's offering me so much money... :fluttercry:

6546714 But Trixie, didn't you learn from the Alicorn amulet?

Don't be a puppet again Trixie!:twilightoops:

Great start for a story. I wonder who the target be....

6546972

Target is Rainbow Dash:

When she outflew me for leadership of the team, I let her keep it because The Canterlot Cup was coming and I needed her to win. The Wonderbolts got the cup, and now I don’t need Rainbow Dash anymore.

This is now the official prequel to the first story I did Storm of Secrets. I've just gone back and done some heavy revision on the opening; and one of the things that really bugged me about the original draft was that Trixie's reason for attempting to kill Rainbow Dash was ridiculous. This adds motive; (plus I love the idea of Spitfire as a villain mastermind).

That said; this goes by a time line that diverges at an alternate ending to season 2. By my cannon the only person who ever has/ gets corrupted by the Alicorn Amulet is Soarin; and then it's up to his pet rock to save him.

Coincidently; about 20 years after Storm of Secrets; Rainbow Dash's kids will run into Trixie who has an extremely powerful magic boosting talisman, which works very differently to the alicorn amulet; but I swear I had that planned long before season 3 came out. (I plan fast, and write slow; but I will finish what I've begun.)

I'm very glad that I finally got to reading this. It and Storm of Secrets have been marinating in my Read-Later since you published it I think. You have me on the edge of my seat with this one shot, just think what SoS will do to me!
