A long dormant construct, buried over a thousand years ago in a secret lab beneath the catacombs under the Palace of the Royal Pony Sisters, awakens and begins to fulfill its long dormant directives, the first being to stave off the darkness, the second to find water to power its steam motivators.

It sets off to find equine based lifeforms, and discovers Zecora, who it identifies as the Sun Goddess.

Now, it demands that Zecora names it and gives it purpose.

Zecora does what any benevolent Goddess would do. She responds with good intentions...

Scootaloo and her fellow Crusaders come up with a foolproof plan that will allow Scootaloo to fly.

To bad the plan is not Crusader proof.

Nothing is ever Crusader proof.

Purple Prosie seems to have everything a writer could ask for. She churns out a successful book every two months, the Princess Cadance claims to be her biggest fan, Purple Prosie has financial security, everything seems to be going well to anypony on the outside looking in.

From the inside looking out though, it is a very different story.

Purple Prosie is a deeply flawed individual with two companions, Morose and Melancholy. She has a growing addiction to alcohol. She's bitter and burned out on love.

And she hates everything she writes.

In a world left dead and barren because of him, a pegasus walks through dead and barren lands, leading a troupe of foals behind him, hoping to find home.

This is the story of his journey.

This story is a sequel to Twilight Sparkle And the Very Confusing Day

There were a few loose ends after Discord, who had turned into Eris, had gone into season and turned the entire world upside down in order to create enough chaos for favourable draconequus breeding conditions. Celestia had released the Flutterbeast upon Eris, restoring order and gender normality all over the globe.

Except not everypony and everybody changed back. Males who became mares and became pregnant, stayed mares, Eris' final parting gift of confusion and chaos in the world.

Both of the sexes are now so much more aware of each other's needs following the events of the Great Swap, and Eris' chaos had the unintentional side effect of creating a new level of harmony in the world, as suddenly everypony and everybody now had first hoof (or firsthand) experience in being the opposite sex.

Eris going into season also created the ideal conditions for the apocalypse.

Twilight and her friends all get together for a sleepover, looking forward to some well deserved downtime. Discord arrives, standing outside in the rain, pleading for entrance and to come in out of the weather. Twilight Sparkle insists that this is a mares only sleepover, so Discord does the only thing he can do, doing the unthinkable to gain entry.

Once inside, Discord, now Eris, tries to bond with the mane six and learn the magic of friendship.

The mane six fail to take into account the magic of Discord.

Screwloose, the notoriously screwy pony, has been getting better. She's been seeing a therapist, Dr. Hornwinkle, and he is pleased with her progress. She has been building relationships, fitting in, attending therapy sessions regularly, and speaking pony-speak instead of barking.

Dr. Hornwinkle suggests during one session that she tries dating, to see if she can finally integrate into pony society.

Alas, the pressure is too much and Screwloose suffers a bit of a relapse.
