Realising the rest of her friends are selfishly aging without her, Twilight takes special measures to make sure this never happens again.
Written for the 1000 words contest. I don't really have much else to say, just... 'enjoy'.

How in the world is Rarity already breaking? Discord was a statue for 1000+ years and was in one piece the whole time. According to the context it hasn't even been a single lifetime for the Mane 6 though? You know unless Twilights just that far gone I guess.

Either you love this fic, or you hate it seems to be the general consensus. I myself am very proud of it, but it might take a certain brand of black humour to maybe get the best out of it. Glad it resonated with you anyway.
Anyone who knows the show knows that the Twilight we've seen throughout the series, yeah is probably one panic attack away from a mental break this bad. What's worse, like that hey magic would probably be unrestrained and probably to much for even Discord to stop.
A pity they have no mouths. I have a feeling they must use them really bad right now.

Holy hell... I was not expecting that. But its great.
It’s a tragedy, yes, but not necessarily horror. It’s like watching a beloved family member slip into dementia. In any case, immortality blues stories are always a hard sell for me, and this one didn’t have the space or time to make the concept stand out. (How is the rest of the country handling itself while its ruler holes herself up in her statue garden, lost in memories of happier times?)
A good effort, but not exactly novel in its concept or approach. Still, thank you for it... though it seems you never actually entered it into the contest.

I think a lot of the downvoters didn't 'get it', and were criticising the story for their false interpretation of Twilight reanimating the dead bodies of her murdered friends, or something. Do I HAVE to spell everything out for the reader? Is subtlety a dying art in writing?
