Interesting story, cool idea. Romance was kinda quick, but I guess they just hit it off well.
The focus on societal expectations was good. There could have been more foreshadowing of the ultimate "but people will think we're related" and other such concerns. The way Octavia readily dismisses expectations undermines the stakes of that looming revelation.

Well, knowing Flim and Flam, I doubt that, especially Cadence giving it her blessing. What really probably happened (if they didn't just make that up entirely) was...
"Hey, Princess Cadence, what was it you said again about how much you approved of our little Flim-and-Flam specialty here?"
"I haven't approved of anything from Flim and Flam!"
"She said our names though and that's good enough for us!"
I'd bet money that doing that was on Flim and Flam's idea board at one point when they were still brainstorming this latest "venture" of theirs, up until they couldn't get any changelings to agree to actually sign up for it.

This is definitely a different take to the whole Octavia/Fiddlesticks dynamic I can't say I've seen before. So much for the ol' "opposites attract" adage, hmm?

To be fair the brothers are actually reputable businessman their con stuff is only to expand their business into new fields some of the comics explained that they started their business in a similar way to how they did The cider squeezy doing stuff on the street and building it up. they actually did have a patent on The cider squeezy and sold off the magical engine for airships.

Anyway, this was a fun, quickly paced tale that showed a budding romance that also poked a little bit of fun at their visual similarities. With the Flim Flam Brothers running the place, I was expecting shenanigans, but I'm glad our two ladies avoided that.
Then again, we didn't see the bill they had to pay for the service...

Super cute story omg. I also liked the reference to Vinyl you did there I thought that was a neat touch. I had always assumed Vinyl and Octavia were the pair but I like this pairing too its nice. I really want to know what happens next ! Please continue MOAR lol
