I think this is one of the better treatments of what it's like to need to use a safeword that I've seen.

And, you know, it's a pretty sexy and cute story, too. But srsly, nicely done.

8811271 I was actually quite worried about how I handled the use of safeword, between how I was trying to sort of toe the line where Pine was aroused and enjoying things, but was dealing with his instincts and personal anxiety with being under her spell being too much for him to handle. I'm glad you enjoyed it ^^ It was a fun first entry into the verse.

'pine spruce' ah... i see.

I absolutely loved this one. <3

Son of a BITCH, yeah man, SPark is right! I see SO many Dom/sub stories on here that don't even give an initial thought to safe words. I actually just read a DashxDaring fic the other day where things got *intense*, and was definitely only semi-consensual, and the concept of a safe word was never even brought up. Also didn't help the title was a play on words of '50 Shades of Gray', and as someone who is involved with kink IRL, it is *soooo* irksome to see how bad an influence that series has had on people.

And I agree, the actual sexytime scenes were beyond adorable and superbly written.

Good. Fucking. Job, mate.

This sort of thing is specifically why Mani created the original Clocktower Society story and group.

Yeah, it's good to see. I'll admit, most D/s stories I see, even the ones in the Clocktower setting, tend to be a little too...intense, for my tastes (I'm much more into the gentle side of D/s), but I'm *so* glad there is a firm community that supports proper consent. I mean, fantasy/IRL kink about consensual nonconsent is one thing, but...yeah, like I said, there's too many authors here who just write about kink in absolutely the wrong way.

giggles Unfortunately most of us writing in the CTS setting seem to be a little more on the extreme edge of things, but I do have a thing I need to finish and publish that's kinda kinky, and a little rough, but not overly intense...

8811474
Yeah, a little bit of roughness here 'n there is good, but I'm definitely not into like edge or breath play, whippings, etc.

I've been thinking about moving from just being a reader to writing some stuff myself, been toying with a couple ideas (both clop related and not) involving my OC, some other stuff in the Delta Vee/Apogee/Jet Stream universe (cuz omfg those stories are ADORBZ, and there is *not* enough of it)...maybe I'll start trying to think of some things I could submit to CTS and offer other people like me a gentler side of things XP

8811465 Totally agree with you, and why I love CTS so much. Even the more intense stuff always makes sure to keep everything entirely consensual. I love when a story will work in some nods and clear signals during the scene of it being all a scene, a look, a question, a bit of the character mask slipping, it makes things so much more believable and likeable for me to have those reminders of what is really going on.

if what you're speaking of is the teapot thing, then ohmygosh.

8811643

Ohhh, did you want me to work that into a publishable fic? I can do that at some point, my little teapot princess~ It's kinky, but not what I'd really call rough.

But I was actually referring to the Scarlet/Fuzzy fic.

You have been my favorite author ever since I first saw one of your stories. You have no idea how happy I was to see that you had done a story for my favorite society.

That being said, I loved this story. Not only was it very well written, but its nice to see something that focuses around the use of a safeword. I think it does a great job of building up the central idea of the society as a safe space before anything else. The idea of being true to yourself no matter what.

Amazing job, as always.

Fangs under the jaw is like top stuff. Very nice

A CTS story by Carapace? This is a pleasant surprise. Like a lot of the others said, I enjoy the milder stories like Troposphere's and this one.

Lilith's teasing was super sexy, and Pine's reactions are cute. I was initially disappointed that he called towertop, but I agree that Lilith's response is written quite well. They got to have their fun anyway, so good for them for handling everything right.

Oh boy, that was great, but felt kinda... short?
Maybe it's just me, but I think a subject as intricate as this could've used another chapter or two, to be honest
Rather, the story would've had so much more impact if we have had more to work with from the start, more about their relationship, about them, who they are, what they are, why they are etc
Right now it just feels like I'm missing some of the pieces of the puzzle, even though I know what the end product should look like thanks to the box, idk

Great story Cara, as always

also, ehehe, me: wut, clocktower something, what is it? never heard of it before...
...
10 min later: HOLY CELESTIA WHY HAVENT I FOUND THIS EARLIER :yay: :trollestia: :pinkiegasp:

I had to stop and try and find some context, probably because I am tired and a slight disconnect between the description and the way things went into high gear real quick. I knew I should have looked up the setting first, so that is on me.

Grade A stuff, what I read so far anyway. Will return clear-headed and aware of what I am getting into in the morning.

I... I think this is the first M rated fic in my favorite shelf.

Lilith pressed her lips against his nose in a tender kiss.
