The reader is more than given the rights to tell an author off. In fact, he has the power to smack the author's ass until he's beaten senseless.
Although it may seem rude that he would just give a passive yawn, that's what he thinks. I am in no way defending Mythril Moth. He, as the reader, has the power to tell the author that he doesn't like it.
Besides, the more criticism I get, the more better I get as a result of it. Which is a good thing, seeing as I'm a fairly new writer to this site.

He didn’t explain why he felt it was boring or poor, instead, he thought he would be a smartass. You do NOT have to take that. You're well within your rights to delete his comment as it adds nothing to the story, or tells you how to improve.
I thought your story was a fun, quick read. You should be proud of yourself, especially since you’re a new writer.
