Really liked this. Pacing was kinda rushed, like Applejack went to three different places in the same scene, and Twilight felt like she just flashed in and out of the story.
Still, very endearing, a decent way of having Big Mac be against her dating a pegasus without having him just be some ignorant racist hick. And AppleLane is a new ship for me, and I enjoyed it a lot.

I've seen and read fights between a sister an overprotective big brother in TV shows and in fanfic stories, but I never heard a sister say something like that in a fight with her big brother

I actually read this a while back, but couldn't really seem to gather my thoughts on it. I like the message, and that Big Mac's reason actually kinda made sense. Overall, I think the concept was handled pretty well here. Nice work.
Oh come on not this whole racism especially coming from Big Mac knowing darn well we all know it's going to happen in season 7 and he's going to meet her future wife is not an earth pony but she's a unicorn and before you say it I know this is way before season 7 came along but sometimes I just can't help of Big Mac is so out of his character

Maybe someday she could make him see that he was worrying about nothing, maybe someday he might even meet a nice Pegasus or unicorn filly he could really get to like. For now, though, peace would have to be enough.

Okay this was a pretty nice story although I felt like Big Mac was really off character and only reason why because after later episodes it just felt off but anyway so it looks like Applejack and thunder Lane pretty much hit it off after Rainbow Dash invited her and the others and basically they went on a couple of days and become an item even celebrating their one month anniversary which that's pretty cute and even sharing a kiss but then things kind of went downhill when Big Mac saw them and thunder Lane had to get going before things get a little intense Applejack got really upset with him and the only reason why he didn't like thunder Lane is because he's a Pegasus and that really sets off Applejack and she fell betrayed that how can he think like that and things really got to escalated the next day and they argue with each other and Applejack had to clear her head and visiting Twilight for any advice which she did but before she went back to Sweet Apple Acres she visit Thunder Lane and she also told the same thing what happened the other night but he still in love with her even if her brother doesn't agree with this and speaking of that Applejack talk with big mac in a calm conversation and it turns out Big Mac was just afraid that Earth part is on nothing special because unicorns and Pegasus have pretty much the magic they have and there was no need for Earth ponies which it's not true Earth Ponies are also very important of Equestria as well and Applejack doesn't felt a shame who she is but she was in love with thunder Lane and Big Mac just need to have to deal with this change now it didn't change his mind but he did understand and maybe in the future he'll come around I got to say this was a pretty nice story keep up the good work
