Immortality. A dream many strive to obtain. But it isn't all about joyfulness and eternal beauty if everyone you cherish vanish like a flickering candle flame. Soon, my friends and family will all fade away as if it was all just one happy dream. Memories slowly disappearing as the years go onward to forever. But there's still a bright side to this nightmare called immortality. I was just lucky Luna helped me realize that.

Thanks to my pre-readers Phoenix Crystal and Skeeter The Lurker for all their help!

I approve this one shot.
Rock on, Bob.

This was fun to proof for you, man.

Great job, as always. :derpytongue2:

Aw, this was so sweet.

Too sweet.

Dear God, I think I have diabetes.

This was good, but one thing. Twilight won't outlive her friends, in the sense of living to see them die.

Good read but uhm... your editors missed some things. I hope you don't mind.

I already memorized many of the constellations and other celestial oddities in the night sky, but there was still no much to be seen and studied over.

I'm going to assume that 'no' should be 'so'.

But what I really didn’t want to do was involve Luna in her own minor tribulations when the princess was probably busy with some other responsibility related to the night.

I think you mean 'my' rather than 'her' since this is written from Twilight's point of view.

Very nice.

It's non-sad immortal Twilight week apparently.

The video camera -- a dream fulfilled for an immortal. You can always go back to a moment at that point and never truly forget the most important ponies in the past.

A very enjoyable one-shot. At least she'll always have Spike.

That is a rational fear to have. Losing one’s you cherish so much,

*ones

Great. The title alone put Monty Python music in my head. Now I can't get it out.

So thanks for that.

*whistle*

This is actually my attempt on a serious type story. :derpytongue2:

Good job, sir! You did rather well one this story, but I realized a small, no matter how improbable, detail in this story: Just because she's Immortal doesn't mean she can't die. You see, Immortality means never-ending life. Now here's where some get confused: They think if someone or something is Immortal, then they must be invincible too. However, this is not true, as invincibility means incapable of being conquered, defeated, or subdued. It was also shown during the show, when Celestia tried to battle Chrysalis but was overpowered by her because she had fed off of Shining Amours' love for Cadence (If you don't know that scene, then 1st Where have you been? And 2nd, here's a link to a video of it. So, therefore, Twilight could simply kill her self with a knife, poison, etc. Now, this might not seem like Twilight, but put yourself in her shoes and fast forward maybe 400 to 900 years. Wouldn't the thought of killing yourself cross your mind many times after seeing so many friends and even maybe all your family lost to the embrace of death? Seem more of a option now?

Anyways, I rest my case on that, but otherwise, good first person story! I would give it maybe 8.5 out of 10 stars. But, until there's half a star and star pony faces, I can't give you any. Here, have a duck faced marshmallow instead. :duck:

This is one of the few stories that actually made me cry. Well done. *softly claps*

Reminds me of a saying, Life's a bitch, but Death's a whore.

Very positive outlook here. :pinkiehappy:

PS.
Missing word here:

I nodded, remembering the bumps she went across as she adapted to what was considered in this time.

what was considered norm in this time.

“But how can I face challenges with their support?” I asked.

without their support?

Just re-read this (for reorganizing fics on shelves) and found something that should really probably be changed.

It didn’t feel like a romantic embrace as one would expect.

Should be "some", since throughout the history of the world as a whole, and Western civilization in particular, most people have not gotten confused by that distinction and have been quite happy to hug their friends and be hugged without worrying about weird romance stuff out of the blue. (A surprising number have even been capable of extending the same advanced understanding to kissing, of all things. Truly the wisdom of the ancients is confounding.)

This is a great serious story and a perfect way to end my reading spree (and perhaps my night). But no, thank you so much for the great reads on the very night. Though I may not be done reading! Also, this was good and serious which I did not see coming from you. I expected a bit of comedy but it seemed serious through and through and I enjoyed that.
