After her "eventful" visit, Babs Seed writes to her cousin, Apple Bloom, about her life back home in Manehattan. Life in the "Big Apple" is very different from that of the quaint little town of Ponyville, and even the group known as "The Cutie Mark Crusaders" has some difficulties getting off the ground in the big city.

Author's Note: Due to the nature of this story being a series of letters, it will probably always remain in the "Incomplete" status. I will keep writing it until I either run out of ideas or if the site ever shuts down (which I hope never happens).

Applejack has never hid the fact that Apple Bloom is adopted - she was born after Applejack's parents died, after all. But she won't tell her who her parents are until she's older. Apple Bloom, of course, can't wait that long, and with the help of her fellow Crusaders, she's determined to find out the truth!

It started out as a normal day. The crusaders had a new idea for getting cutie marks, and then Apple Bloom borrowed Applejack's hat for something without asking.

Suddenly... it was no longer a normal day.

It's Heart's and Hooves night and Diamond Tiara is stuck at a bus station somewhere around Ponyville. Usually on this night, she'd be at home eating, but instead she got stuck in a really late after-school detention and is stuck at the bus stop. Luckily a special somepony is there to keep her company.

She knows how to look out for herself: that's why her parents left her in charge of the house. Because they know she's responsible. But Ponyville's adults were collectively incapable of seeing that, and so she's been forced to live with the Apples. Something which made Applejack delusional, because that mare now thinks she has the right to exert control.

Scootaloo disagrees. She takes care of herself. As soon as her parents come back, they'll explain that. Everything will be normal again. And they'll be in Ponyville any day now. They always could arrive tomorrow, and there was a chance that they would have shown up yesterday.

But this is today.

The years had taken everything from him. His home, his friends, and his wife were gone, lost to the harsh nature of this new world of theirs. Shining Armor has seen nothing but death and decay over th past seven years, and had his fair share of blood.

He meets a young pony by the name of Applebloom. A filly just on the verge of adulthood. She has one request, to help her find her family...

Following the assassination of Princess Celestia, the Long Night withered the once bountiful Apple Harvests of the Apple family. In the years since, they have been reduced to dumpster diving and street life. Applebloom, unwilling to continue in such a state, violates her elder sister's wishes in order to find help from Applejack's friends, who surely must be better off.

Unfortunately, Applebloom's journey to Canterlot shows her the true fates of the bearers of the Elements of Harmony, who are as unable to help Applebloom as they are to help themselves. Applebloom's desperation grows with each reunion. In the end, she must turn to powers greater than begging to save her own future and those of many others.
