This story is a sequel to Shadowbolts Adventures: The Shadows of Nightmare Night

Every day Twilight Sparkle takes a bus from the big city to her new school in Canterlot, but she has started to notice she somehow caught the eye of a strange man who watches her day after day. Starting to freak out, Twilight confesses to Indigo Zap, who decides to teach Twilight to defend herself if the worst should happen.

It is not difficult to grasp the notion that Rainbow Dash has very little in the ways of scientific or thaumatic knowledge. But, sadly, that doesn't stop her from having ideas. It especially doesn't stop her having ideas that are based on the assumption that she does have some amount of scientific or thaumatic knowledge.

In short: try not to be within ten miles of Rainbow Dash when she has ideas.

Twilight is visiting her parents' house, her childhood home, after the Summer Sun celebration. Feeling a bit nostalgic, she realizes that she still has a bit of Zecora's flashback potion left over. Surely it couldn't hurt to relive a bit of her childhood...

When Sweetie Belle got zapped during the Zap Apple Harvest, no one thought much of the filly's light electrocution. However, the zapping has given her a most unusual ability... the ability to change the color of objects, temporarily, into the colors of the rainbow. This is surprising to the little filly, as she has yet to achieve mastery of most magical arts beyond a novice.

Naturally, her adventurous streak gives her an idea. Sweetie Belle will become a superhero. She is the vibrant guardian, the watcher of the palette. She is...

Zapfilly.

A filly Twilight Sparkle forgot to bring a book to read on the train, and now faces a horribly boring afternoon...

Or, she does until she notices another filly reading. Surely she can sneak a peek, right?

Rarity invites Twilight for an impromptu lesson in fashion design, and in so doing, discovers an unexpected fatal flaw in her own sense of style. Twilight has an answer, of course. It only requires a small amount of set theory...

Just a tongue-in-cheek exploration of what might really happen if Rarity's spur-of-the moment fashion sense met Twilight's encyclopedic nerdiness head on.

This is set somewhere in the middle of Season 4. Because amongst other things, I really miss the Golden Oak Library...

Who is Scootaloo? Everypony knows about her present, but when it comes to her past there are as many different answers as there are questions.

Is she the love child of two star-crossed lovers? The last hope for the future? The child of a broken home? A mysterious figure fighting a war no pony knows about? Or is it something else entirely? Is she even a pony at all?

Twilight Sparkle decides to ask everypony in Ponyville and find out about Scootaloo...and the stories, rumors and gossip she gets will leave her wondering how the truth can ever compete with fiction.
